I’m sure it’s been covered somewhere here, but is there a simple method of removing coffee maker from the 450 (galley to port). Found the screw on the left side inside the glass jug cavity, but something on the right is stopping it from coming out. Thanks

Sorry, we are galley starboard... I'm sure it's the identical black and decker...

NO LONGER MAYBE A DANCER!

We closed last night!

1996 450 Galley to Port

will update that journey-adventure thread shortly.

Meanwhile need some quick help from the CSR BRAIN TRUST !

We're staying aboard her for a few days to get her ready for transport.

  • Need to replace several of the round ceiling light bulbs but can't figure out exactly how to remove the fixture without damage

Need to figure out exactly where to stow the following items:

  • bow cushion
  • sunpad cushion set (3 tied together)
  • mid-cabin cushions
  • grey wood bases
  • mid cabin table (does this stow or likely leave set-up?)
And maybe:

  • source of replacement vacuum cleaner bags? Filter?
  • Location of HVAC filters?
Couldn't find the cushion answer on a Forum search, so just posted it all here now as its going to rain for 2 days straight and I can get numerous chores done inside and in engine room prior to tearing everything apart for transport.

BEST !

Congrats!

As we like to say......pics or it didn't happen!!

Congratulations on the timely closing…..I had my doubts on the timing, but am glad it worked out.

I stored all my bow cushions off the boat…..we never used the sun pad set unless the kids and grandkids were in town. I found that vinyl lasts indefinitely in Florida if yuo keep it out of the heat and sun.

If you mean the filler cushions and wooden supports for the aft compartment bunk, they all fit nicely in front of the sump box in the large center campartment in the sdalon floor.

The vacuum is made by the Beam company; you will just have to search the internet for the replacement bags. Although, some Sea ray dealers stock them if there is one close by.

THe filters for the A/C units are mounted on the unit themselves and they essentially just cover the return air inlet on the unit. Mine were washable if you use low pressure water.

just a quick pic for now as we are dealing with rain, rain, rain and getting set up

I love the "Anti Seal" device he created on the swim platform. Oh how I remember those days. Those bastards are mean. I was a little more aggressive than his plastic triangles... we used 2x4's with nails.

Spring loaded flippers keep them in place... You can use your finger, but be careful they bite. You can also use a butter knife.

was wondering what was going on there! thanks for clearing that up!

Hi I'm new here and to this 1995 450DA! Just had it transported from Lake Texoma TX to Palmetto Florida last week. The boat is in great shape with many original Sea Ray items included. Even the full working NuTone blender and opener setup, which I know don't perform like modern stuff but I think it is cool they are there and working! I plan to get her as close to "like new" condition as possible with some tasteful upgrades. Ive learned alot here already and looking forward to learning much more!

===================

Got one down

No number on the bulb

need to source locally - can't use Amazon

Prefer LED but will use whatever we can for now

Anyone know the number of a good source?

WM, NAPA?

MANY THANKS !

Sorry, I forgot the salon lighting question: Pull one of then down slowly and carefully so you can see the spring keepers and how they work. Be sure you pick an LED replacement that is as sort or shorter than the halogen bulbs you are replacing. The first set I ordered from Amazon met the specs but the bulbs were tall enough to tough the plastic lense.

Be careful using a tool to pry the fixture away from the headliner itis easy to punch a hole in the headliner if the fixture is stuck.

I think the bulbs are 10W, T-3, with a G-4 base.

They are usually screwed into the lower shelf with 2 screws one on the left; one on t he right. Depending upon the base of the coffee maker the screws may be mopre toward the front or rear of t he coffee maker to avoid wiring/heating elements etc. Getting access to t he screw heads may be your challenge.
