Good Morning - I love seeing all of these updates. Unfortunately today I'm looking for some help with an engine issue. I'm having an intermittent problem with my Starboard engine stalling and not restarting. I have had the engine stall multiple times now and each time the conditions were different. Engines are 7.4 MPI.
    1. Last fall after cruising for about 25 minutes at ~3000 rpms the engine stalled while underway. I limped back to the dock on one engine and put the boat away. When i revisited a month later it started immediately.
    2. This spring when de-winterizing the engine started and idled for about 5 seconds then stalled and would not start. tried to start again the next day and still nothing. Asked the mechanic to look at it and they said it started easily when they checked it.
    3. Yesterday - Ran for about 20 minutes at ~3000 rpm. Died when i pulled back to idle into the dock. Would not restart. Tied up to the dock and got in the engine compartment. Everything seems normal although I do have a significant transmission fluid leak that I'm going to have addresses. Access is very limited but I was trying to find the wiring harness for the fuel pump. I have a friend that had issues with the fuel pump connector. As I was trying to trace wires etc I reached over and grabbed the bundle of wires coming off of the starter. When i grabbed that I heard a short screech sound. I tried to start the engine again and it fired up immediately and ran fine for the 20 minute run back to my home dock.
Here's where I could use some expert advice:
    1. Is there an interlock between the trans and the engine? If the trans gets low on ATF can it cause the engine to shut down? I did add ATF yesterday.
    2. Where is the fuel pump located on the 7.4MPI, and does anyone have a wiring diagram for the engine?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Series V engine. Look for low pressure supply pump teamed up with the raw water pump on the left side, front as you look at the front of the engine. this supplies fuel to the High pressure pump that sits on the top of the engine in a fuel sump. High pressure pump feeds the rails of the fuel injection system. The High pressure pump does have a filter cage on it that can only be accessed by removing the top of the sump and removing the pump. This filter can impede fuel supply. I doubt your problem has anything to do with the belt driven low pressure pump. The fuel sump service is very easily accomplished by disconnecting the fuel hoses (mark them) and lifting the sump out and servicing on the dock. Be careful with the o-ring on the sump cover...expensive. Good luck.

So engines are in and running! Did the initial break in today, after finding out I have a bad engine start battery for the port side (and generator battery is bad too). Sea trial tomorrow.

Have a short video of the engines running but file too large to post directly here. (Too tired to post to YouTube )

Here's a pic of my latest project. Since we moved the TV over the fridge, the wife wanted a wine rack

How do you mount a TV swing arm on this where your wine wall is? Is there plywood behind it or what are the walls are made out of?

Previous owner mounted it, but it appeared to be mounted directly to the wall.

Here's the last (for a while) upgrade. Needed a table to go between the bench seats

Wish me luck..Wednesday I tackle a port transmission output flange seal replacement. Have the tools and hopefully the talent to get her done..the flange is slinging ATF in the bilge.

Good Luck! I should be there this weekend. If you need a hand let me know. I have an ATF leak on my starboard side so I’m going to have to do a similar job although I’m leaning towards having the marina do mine.

most common velvet drive trans leak is the selector input …...easy fix.....take a look and see if the fluid is coming from that point...Jon

Look back on this thread at my post #132.
The wall is a fiberglass / plywood sandwich.
It’s not very thick though and you’ll need to be careful not to drill through into the bathroom.

There is something akin to plywood under the padding. For us, we removed the bathroom mirror (opposite side of wall) and bolted through the wall, then reinstalled the mirror. If you can find sex bolts large enough, or elevator bolts, that keeps the bathroom side flat enough to reinstall the mirror. Use a small drill bit to drill out the wood plugs in the mirror and use a pick to remove the rest of the plugs and remove the screws. If you really need to, you can also use sealant on the bolt heads (bathroom side) given your drilling a hole in the bathroom wall.

Measure twice and drill the top right hole first - higher up and towards the bathroom door and measure from there again, ensuring all holes are behind the mirror. Start with a small bit from the kitchen side, then use the proper size from the bathroom side (helps prevent plastic bathroom liner from chipping as much).

A keurig fit in the original coffee maker spot? I was looking for a replacement on the glass container. But I would much rather use a keurig.

Cockpit fridge is still working great, best $60 I've spent on the boat. Install was pretty straight forward for me, pull out the old, and replace it with the new.
