Official 390DA Thread

i still dont understand where these baffles go. do you think the water i am getting in the aft bedroom could be prevented by these baffles? could it be coming from hosing the boat down and water shooting in the large air vents on the sides of the boat near the bilge.

The large vents near the bilge are where these baffles go. The company that manufactures them call them de-misters. Installation should eliminate water intrusion into the bilge during rain and wash down.
As far as water in the mid cabin I would think you have other problems. Bilge water should not get through the bulk head. As mentioned earlier in this thread check under the bed as there are several places for water leaks such as the water heater connections and any of the water system joints through out the boat.

Good luck I know finding these problems can be a pain at times.

I am a 2005 390DA
I have had the boat for 4 seasons now... Love it, and you will too basically same boat.

Sea Ray is very easy to communicate with and if you are still unable to find it you can call them and they will advise were they hide all components.

I just posted my 2004 390 Sundancer for sale in the CSR classified section if anybody on this thread knows anybody looking for a great 390. Boat has blue hull, hardtop, Bow and Stern thrusters, 8.1L's, etc... Priced right and ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi fellow 390 owners. Mine is a new 2011 390DA 496 with Axius. Had it about one month now. Had some problems with the engines leaking coolant and loose wires but the dealer here has fixed up everything. Need a camper top to enjoy bug free time at night. Does anyone have pictures of a top for reference when I get one made?
My pevious boats were
2006 Rinker 270
2008 Rinker 350

Howdy,
I have a 2010 390DA (Three Ninety) also.
I had a "camper top" made this year that has worked out very nicely. I removed the original 2' canvas on the rear of the Hardtop and had a new one 5' one made with the same shape and side supports. I had the original canvas shortened to be able to still fit down to the stern. I added three new side panels including on that acts like a door so we can go in and out for docking and boarding from the side in addition to the stern. I will try to attach two shots of what it looks like.

BTW - Most folks on the 390DA Forum own the former named 390 which is +/-v 41' vs our 39'.

just got back from 2 weeks in fla. went out on the boat 4 times. had to change both bow thruster batteries as they were fried by the charger (probably needed replacing anyway after 3 years on 30 month batteries). also changed the vent filter following the advice on this forum (laying across the back of the engine hoses). Marinemax has fixed my alarm that kept going off in the slip. havent been billed yet so i dont know what the cause was yet. unfortunately i still havent found the source of my water leak which collects under the side cushions in the aft bedroom just aft of the control panel. i think it is from rainwater but cant identify where it is coming in. any new ideas?

I just closed on my 2005 390DA today! It's loaded with nearly every option: Hardtop, 3 Flat Panel TVs, TracVision, dual C-120s, Cummins 380s, Autopilot, etc. Of course, I can't go play with it for 2 weeks due to work:smt089

Any tips from those owners who've been lucky enough to own one for years?

Allmostenoff- sounds like great vessel congrats. Hope you can get out this weekend. Weather has been perfect. Less than 1 foot all week. Aside fron having gassers let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks! We're goin out on her next weekend. I will get to know her quite well by then

It has been a while since I last visited this site. Thanks for the reply. Some pics would be great if you can send them.

it looks like i need to replace the coolant temperature sensor on my starboard engine. i am reading very low temperature on that side gauge and getting a "hi" message on the smartcraft gauge. i am having trouble locating the temperature sensor so i can replace it. any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sherri Belle
Looking forward to seeing your pictures of the canvas work. Would love any ideas on new ways to canvas the cockpit!

THANKS so much for trying to post those pictures!

I have seen request for pics of custom canvass so here is what I had done last fall.

Thank You, Would love to see close up pictures of how it was done around hard top & support structure at rear. That looks just like what we were thinking of & had not found anything we liked. Thanks again.

Mike

Everything is cantilevered from the top with two support bars on each side of the rear window. I need to remove these bars to raise the engine cover. Because of the way this boat is designed with the whole back seat area lifting to access the engine compartment this was the only way we could make it work. With this top installed it is like adding another room.
I will add more pictures later.

For more ideas. Here are some shots of the top I designed for our 390. I carried the arc of the hard top back w/ canvas profile. I did add stays in the back and copied the end profile w/ the S.S. stay. That took two tries to get clearance right for the hatch to clear w/ the top up. The height of the aft at the entrance way is 5'6" clear. On the canvas I had shop added radius to all upper corners for a finished look. The glass is all 0.040" Strataglass. I added Flap above the door and a Velcro strip on top of the door so you can seal the gap. Good luck w/ your top! MikeIMG_1177.JPGIMG_1071.JPGIMG_1642.jpg
