Official 390DA Thread

Anyone ever have to remove the stainless hardtop support poles? My marina needs to get it off and they haven’t been able to find a way to access the bolts under the dash, figured I would ask here. The last few days have been a total PIA with the boat

I’m sorry I wish I could help. Why are you having removed may I ask?

Its for transport under a bridge.. Has to happen. Believe me I fought tooth and nail to find another way, now the hard top is off and they can't find access to remove the bolts for the stainless support poles. Just from looking at photos I feel like access should be just aft of the skylight behind the panel with the two recessed lights, not sure how that comes down but it cant be rocket science. Has anyone ever pulled that panel down before?

I’m sorry I’ve never had to remove the top. My brother just bought one and had transported from Minn about 3 weeks ago fully put together except removal of electronics from the top of hardtop. I’d reach out to Searay dealer for help. I’m sure you’re close with your thoughts though.

Thank you... Yes Massachusetts has such antiquated roadways and bridges that they require load heights to not exceed 13'5" anywhere in the state. There are actually a great many bridges that have under 11' of clearance, it's nuts.

Seems you could take out the bolts shown in pic on both sides to clear enough to transport.

Thank you… I was able to have sea Ray email instructions. Those bolts halfway up the supports only secure the windshield to the supports, the support is solid all the way up (they removed them and checked)

Could you post the instructions for this. I hope to never need to do this, but would be good to know how, just incase...

Here you go, very simple when visually explained but the marina said they were basically hanging on the trim with full body weight and it wasn't budging. Took 15 minutes to remove everything once I sent them these.

I'm on the hunt for a Sundancer. I'm going to be looking at a 390 and are there any items that are a "make sure to check out" areas/items that I need to put on my list?

I've kind of sorted through this thread and I haven't noticed any recurring things but I could have missed them, too.

Anyway, thanks for any pointers.

Anyone that has changed out amps on 390 or 40 04/05 newer

The amps are located on the side of the boat in the salon. Remove the back rest to the sofa (pull up and out) and you will see both amps.
FWIW- the sofa back is held on with Velcro and it also has two dowels, so you need to pull up and outward.
