Hello All,
Last weekend we started getting a serious water leak in the salon.
It seems to be coming from under the fridge area and running around the front of the bottom step then down into the aft cabin.
I found 3" of water in the bottom of the aft cabin bilge.
Anyone had this happen yet??
FRUSTRATING!!!
Thanks for any input!!

I would bet your AC pan is overflowing.

Starboard side engine has a hose on the exchanger fresh water discharge that is something you need to keep an eye on if you have this boat. It's a type of hose prone to kinking and failure of the metal rings. It will restrict waterflow thru the system and lead to higher temps. The portside engine exchanger has a different hose that actually loops around 180 degrees but is not as prone to kinking.

I replaced it with the more traditional (ie expensive) LLOYDS water hose.

You were very correct! The metal condenser pan rusted and fouled up the opening to the drain hose that leads to the salon bilge pump.
I snaked out all ac condenser lines, cleaned fore & mid condenser pans, then cleaned out the sump crock and pump.
Everything is finally flowing outward!
Thanks for the tip!

i have another problem. it looks like rainwater is coming in somewhere and collecting in the back bedroom soaking the carpeting. anybody have an idea where it could be coming in? Last year i thought it was one of the starboard portholes but have had that fixed.
Make sure your hot water heater is not leaking. It’s located under the rear seat in your aft cabin

B ready to do it all again next year. Suggestion would be to start shopping for replacement pans. Once they start to rust, game over. Repair or replace, or you'll be in there again soon enough.

I'm on a roll with $hit breaking!!! Now my Vacu-Flush system isn't maintaining pressure and runs forever. Anyone have the part #'s for the (4) duckbill valve's I need? Are they 1.5" or 2"? NOT looking forward to this repair!!

johnq29 how long have you owned the 390? In the picture it looks like a boat I owned until 2013. Sold it when we moved to Florida . Does it say 40 on the transom?

Hello becnme! This was in fact your boat at one time! I did an owner search to check for clean title when we were in the purchase phase of acquiring this vessel. I bought it from the guy you sold it to. Needless to say, I LOVE this boat, even when systems break or leak!! Thank you for reaching out and good luck getting a slip in Saugy this weekend!

Hey all, my new to me 2004 390 DA Freezer is frosting up. Can we just shut off the power and let her thaw, keeping an eye on water flow? Or is there a process? Thanks!

We are in Florida now, not going to Saug. Hind sight is always 20 20 but I wish I had brought your boat to Florida but thought it would be worth more in fresh water. Turns out I could get about 20K more now then I sold it for in 2013 especially as pristine as it was.
Enjoy!

The guy you sold it too did ZERO maintenance the entire time he owned it and it was still the cleanest boat out of the 20+ I looked at. I've spent the past 2 summers bringing her back to showroom condition and get offers on her just about every time we travel. Have a great summer in FLA!

We usually just shut it down and keep it mopped up until all the ice has melted. Just make sure to keep the water out of the corner closest to the step, thats where you see a lot of them turning black with mold.

My dockmate has an '05 390. They had a Keurig machine, but weren't happy with the options to store it. We told them how much we liked our Nespresso machine. We ended up giving it to them. It lived on their counter for a while because they were so happy with the coffee. After they discovered that it would fit into the cabinet, they committed to a permanent installation. It looks great.

Does anybody have a good answer for water entering the boat engine compartment during rough seas?. I heard there are special baffles That reduces and seperatey water flow. The intakes are kind of low,and these cummins need a lot of air to breath. I also get water during heavy rain which is probably a recaulkng issue. Generator bed is rusting and I want to fix this wet bilge issue. Please tell me there's a fix

Does anybody have an alternate solution to shrink wrap on the 390 dancer. I think the regulations are coming down the pike that will eliminate the use of shrink wrap. My town is in discussion now as it is not recyclable. Custom winter cover? I don't know if anybody makes them.
