Official 390DA Thread

New to big boats and our 390 DA. Splashed today. I got fresh water in the tank and bled the lines so water is flowing out of all faucets. Question is about the hot water heater. As long as I have the system full and flowing, does the hot water heater need anything special to fire up? Thanks

No ..you should be good to go... Congratulations on the 390 great boat... Enjoy your summer!!

make sure if it was winterized they didnt bypass the heater, its located under the aft cabin seat, you will see the manifold in there as well that is where they bypass the heater IF they bypass it, (some mechanics and owners do), as its saves over 6 gallons of antifreeze...

if its not bypassed (hoses looped back to manifold) then run HOT WATER from your faucets for a minute, until all the pink (antifreeze) comes out of the HOT water lines,

If it is bypassed recoonect the hoses to the facotry configuration (*should be easily figured out one side goes out of manifold into heater, other side goes from heater to manifold) run for a few minutes of hot water to make sure no air pockets and if any residual antifreeze comes out of the lines from the bypass..

I'm the second owner of this 05 390 DA, my owners package is missing section 3, could anybody know what it is? I'm also looking for any info on the ice maker, brand? Model?

TY !!!! stumped me ... He said he looked for the splitter I guesss he has to look again

Ty

Drop the power panel ( enitre panel AC and D/C) by unscrewing the screws on the top, DONT take them all the way out.. use them to pull the panel open, you will see it is hinged ont he bottom, the entire panel will come down and is held by a retaining strap, (make sure its in place) I "THINK" I remember seeing the splitters on the wall on the left, there is a lot of stuff behind there..

I had to replace the entire thru hull on my genny exhaust when I lost that center flapper. Scoured for just the flapper part but to no avail. I did notice that having it helped a little bit on the noise created by the discharging water and also informed that, depending on where your boat is, it can deter critters from wanting to head on in the exhaust when not running of course. Not sure how valid the latter point is and maybe just dock talk.

Any suggestions on what stereo with blue tooth to use to replace the factory clarion , would like it to fit in the same space !!

ANY standard DIN opening stereo will work.. My advice go with a newer clarion for plug and play.. you will have to change the remote and cable going to the remote at the helm (no matter what brand you go with), clarion is a easier to install because you can unplug the old radio and plug in a new one (minus the remote working).. all others wiring will need to be redone, just follow the existing wire colors and you will be fine.. any questions let me know..
