Official 390 E.C. Thread

On my 390 is not in the bilge, it's under the sofa. If I remember right it should be on the side of the two drawers' enclosure on the left of the cabin steps ...

Right, I've found it just can't figure out how to get to it...

You should take out the whole panel. It's just a few screws :smt001

I've taken all the screws out and the thing won't budge... It will pull up a little at the edge but beyond that if I pull any harder its going to break....

mmmh, that's strange as I don't remember it being so difficult...

Where's Mike??? He knows every nut and bolt in our boats!!!

there is a back panel that has to come out too. Its under the corner area on the port side of where the ac is. Its a panel on the back wall.

I have had mine out several time working on the ac

Looking for some help. This 1988 express is new to me, going into my first full year with it and I have a question.

I know where the aft bilge pump is. Checked it out, cleaned it, etc.

But I cannot find where or how to get access to forward bilge pump. I unfortunately do not have any manuals or info on it.

Can someone fill me in as to where it is and how to get to it?

Thanks!

The fwd bilge pump is located just after the engine bulkhead

You may find it (and the emergency pump) here:

appreciate the response! I was aware of that pump and the one near the back by the transom.

I guess I was assuming there was a pump in the bow area too but apparently not.

But your diagram is a good thing to have, thanks for that!

Once again looking for some help. I was able to get the searay owner manual from the searay site but it does not always have the level of info needed.

I believe the filter on the holding tank is bad, ( actually I am sure it is !) but not sure what I need to get to replace it. I believe its a 5/8 connection but is there a brand or model number I should be looking for.

System is a vacuflush system.

Thanks!

Yet another question!

I have to replace a couple of the swivel lights that are in the cabin. the one over the sink in the galley has melted on the inside. I have been trying to find some that match what are already in there with little luck.

Has anyone found a place where something similar to the current lights can be purchased?

What I have are flush mounted swivel lights in a sort of brushed nickel type finish with a black rocker on/off switch on them.

Thanks.

This is as close as I've been able to come. Two of my lights succumbed to the same demise as you've described (one in the forward cabin and one in the galley). What I ended up doing was moving the one original light from the forward cabin into the galley and installing the two new lights in the forward cabin. This way they stay consistent in the rooms they're located in. Good luck.

Has anyone ever installed a fan behind the icemaker to help draw off the excess heat that it generates? I would like to install a 4" in-line fan that would dump this heat into the port side space where all of the wiring and water pipes are hidden between the seat and the hull. I would also like to cut in a 6" x 12" ish fresh air intake grille directly below my ice maker door to help the cause.

I have a question for 390 Express owners. My brother-in-law lives in San Diego and wants the change out both tv's but is not sure how to mount them. Is there any pictures on form showing the tv upgrades on this boat. We changed out ours but we have a 1999 370 Sundancer and the set up is very different.
