JM U refer to engine batches. What is that? I assume it’s a typoWow that’s very reasonable. I was seeing estimates almost double that up here for virtually same work. Where are you located ? Is marina doing the work ? Did you remove your engine batches or doing it all under neath. That’s pretty cool oil pan can be pulled by just lifting the motor a little. I didn’t think that be possible plus to install new bearing and rod caps back on without raising motor up.
Is there hatch’s in the floor for access. I have a gasser and never noticed this.Should have the pistons and sleeves out and the block cleaned up this week. Reassembly next
question, is the carpet in your salon glued down. We’re thinking, when we swap the head on the other side, it might be easier to lower it in place from above. That would mean pulling the carpet, which appears to be glued in place.
Good to know, thanks. So yes. I meant hatches. Once you pulled the carpet up, which isn’t horrible , there are hatches Sea Ray has for lifting the motors out. You will need to remove the stairs and the starboard couch to fully remove them. But they are factory installed and just siliconed in place. Once you cut the silicone the hatches will
Lift right up and allow full access to the motors.
So 22k is material and labor. Having easy coast diesel perform the work right?

Great price. Keep us posted on progress. Sound great.Yep 22 and change is labor and material for all 6 cylinders (pistons, rings, bearings, sleeves, head, new injectors and turbo. East Coast Diesel is doing the work.
Roger, I had them all changed when I bought the boat, but I forget where they all were. I know on the 44 I just looked at, they are only on the tabs and the transom. I know the 44 doesn't have any on props or shafts. We have a 04 390 my, anyone know what zincs are needed ?
