I just bought a $20 table base and screwed it on with 6 screws and ready to go. I did this on my sea ray 450 I had before this boat and got lots of compliments.
Wow!!! That’s incredible. Would love to see installed pictures once your ready. Thanks for the reply.

I have been all over the board these days with projects other than the boat but still isolating as per Washington State requirements.

I did get the cup epoxied in for the Garmin Sonar Transducer and fished the wire. There were a handful of other items like the new cable for the davit system. The old one was galvanized (why?) and was rusted to the point of certain near future failure. I replaced with a SS cable.

The upholstery shop called and we were the last job out the door before they shut down. I drove down to Burien from La Conner, normally a 2 to 2:15 drive, in 1:30. Zippo traffic... I did stop by a buddy's place and pick up his cable crimper for the additional lift cable for the new Walker Bay I built up last year. It has 4 lift eyes vs. the 3 on the old RIB.

Got back by 2:30 and started the install. My wife came down and could fit under the benches by the ice bucket to get the washers and nuts on the studs that are on the backrest there. We were done by 5:30.

Then we were off to do a restaurant takeout that she organized for our Yacht Club. It is Dinner and a Movie supporting a local restaurant and Netflix Party. We are doing another run tonight and we are hoping to get 100 dinners.

Looks great!

Thanks for the kuddos!

Interesting thought on how hot it may get...We have full camper cover canvas and we generally move around to find shade. The all white is a little blinding when we do get our summer sun.

We are thinking of sewing some covers to keep the weather off when we are not out and about.

I'll have to report in.

Right now it is 41 deg and snow level is at 500 ft. We have a low circling off of Vancouver Island pumping cold air in. We had a colder March than January. The weather is nutty.

We are shut down for the most part for the plague but I have lots of stuff I am doing on the house and a few things left on the boat. Our Yacht Club is talking about some distancing day cruises as all of our activities are shut down on land and cruising is out until maybe July or August with updates as this thing evolves.

Cheers!

Tons of more updating I'm doing on the boat include: glass door refrigerator in the cockpit, All new rockford Fosgate sound system, New tv's in cockpit and cabin (cabin tv moved to starboard side of cabin stairs), new memory foam mattress cut and fit, Raymarine Axiom and I70s installation, blue underwater lights, Aqua Marine Flooring installation on swim platform and full cockpit. all exterior badging switching to chrome,
Here's a pic of my new pinstripe finished and ready for launch. Very happy to get rid of the gold!!

Here's a picture of the new eva foam floor I put in the head. It's from Aqua Marine Deck. They now have the template from mine if you want to use it and save the hassle of templating..

I have a problem that cropped up while we were out last week for 2 days on the hook...isolating...!

The Starboard start battery went down enough to cause me to have to bridge the battery banks to get is to start. As you all may remember, this winter I had the local electrical guy add dedicated house batteries and ACR type relays to separate the house from start.

The electrical guy found a 4 amp intermittent draw on the Starboard start battery. I thought immediately that I screwed up and wired my new cockpit fridge into the start but it was not.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks JZ, my wiring for the fridge was my first thought and he just called back and confirmed.

Yes, there was a 4 amp light in my eyes! I wired the fridge to the "stereo memory" and "bilge pumps" that are on the start side so they are always available...not matter what you do to the house batteries. He moved it over to a circuit that is on the house side.

Now on a separate issue and not related, the generator dips voltage and frequency when trying to run more than one thing at a time. AC charger, water heater, coffee make on 110AC plug or microwave. It does OK on just one of the above. Forget about the A/C unit. We tried to run for a little heat and it would not run.

What are your guys experience with the generators?

Thanks!

Yes, Lattitude, good idea. I keep an ear out for things running. The vacuhead system will run on if something gets in the duck bills and the water pump is audible too.

In the above post it was the new fridge...duh.... Palm on forehead.

So I could not imagine trying to keep the boat going with bad hearing. My ears are always on for funky sounds....

Cheers!

Does the gen bog down when you apply a load to it? The governor may need to be serviced. I would check that first if it is running fine otherwise. Assuming you have a westerbeke with a mechanical governor.

Hi Jeff, yes it seriously bogs down under load. The water heater drops it to 70 volts and 48.5 Hertz. Not good.

I have a call into the Westerbeke guru up here at Tri County Diesel. They can work on it even though it is gas. There is one guy who is a Westerbeke guy.

I will let you all know when he looks at it. They are prioritizing commercial boats during the plague.

Cheers!

Would love to see pictures on how you mounted tv’s in cockpit and salon. How wired as well. I want to do tv on wing On helm and bulkhead in salon over aft cabin.

Hi
Anyone have a line on the gasket for the vent window? Mine is starting to tear. Also looking at replacing the steering wheel. I was trying to go OEM but haven’t had any luck there either.
