looking at replacing window gaskets this winter does anyone have the window gasket #

I stole this from the 370 group but thinking it could be the same materials for the vent window

From Taylor Made. Its a 2 piece gasket
Part # 8352000 5ft reqd.
Part # 8359000 2ft reqd.
I went down to boat over the weekend at it does appear that these are the right parts.

Hopefully wont be hard to find

Jamie

What size lettering did you guys use for your boat name and hailing port? We taking ownership of a 2002 next week and would like to start the process of getting the name changed. My vinyl guy needs the transom size as well as what size lettering we would like. The current owner has the boat name just on the lazarette but we want it to extend across the back. Any help would be great!
I think you just need to call the guy that dagmar sent you :)--------

I'd have to measure but after much thought and many to-scale mock-ups I went with Lazzarette door. I wanted it to show even with the canvas in place.. Also thought the height would look a bit squat if it ran the full width of the transom. There's a lot of "things" going on back there, btwn the latches, the grab rail and the door outline.

Take a pic of your transom and photos hop out the old name and try different fonts amd sizes. I placed this myself after planning. Cost about $100. 4th boat I've added my own name to.

Did you put the flag holder in yourself or was it already there? I am looking at the Lazzarete clamp on style but would prefer to have it in mounted.... thank you

Mike, just saw your post. I put it in myself. If I had to do it over I'd put it off center, beyond the lazarette door. The door, when opened, hits the holder. Ihave to be sure I watch it when I open the door when the flag is not in place. It will hit the holder and it has chipped the fiberglass on the door once already. With the flag in place it harmlessly comes to rest on the flagpole when opened. FYI, that holder is a 1" diameter bowrail stanchion holder.

Any idea what my 02 380DA draws while it is on plane? I have one spot in my marina channel that is touch and go at low tide (it's just grassy) and I prefer not to stir it up. I was thinking it may be better to be on plane than at idle or 1200.

Thanks,
Vince

32" according to the manual. Maybe 4-6" less on plane? I understand conceptually why being on plane could help you avoid touching; but in known low spots I'd suggest you drop out of gear and coast over, or drop to dead idle (700RPM). I'd much rather bump at those speeds than at 20 knots.

A/C Problem

I seem to have either lost the blower motor in the salon A/C or something else may be wrong. I am referring to the A/C outlet that is to the right of the power panel, towards the mid-cabin. The outlet that is at the front of the salon is working fine. Is the A/C outlet that is above the front part of the seating area, to the right of the large mirror supplied by the Salon A/C system or the FWD A/C System? My forward stateroom system seems to be working fine.

I am hoping it is just the fan and not the entire unit. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Vince

The outlet at the front of the salon, is from the forward A/C unit.

Thanks Doc....that is what I thought it was. The problem wound up being a sticky switch for the fan switch on the control panel. I have the fan working, but it is not blowing as cold as the forward A/C unit. I am thinking it may need to be cleaned out? I have not looked up how to clean out the drain system on these units....not even sure if that would cause the issue of not being as cool as the forward unit.

Thanks for your reply,
V

First, check that the water flow coming out the side of the boat is equal.
Good point. I will check it tomorrow. I am only a few minutes from the boat and will let you know. Do you know of a thread already started on how to clean the lines? I recall someone telling me something about using bleach cut with some with water or something else?

Since you are in Florida, you have to think about growth in your water system. I remember reading about a system called barnacle buster, to flush seawater systems.
