Official 380 Thread

Bump.......Has anyone replaced their slanted aft curtain with the eisenglass panels on each with just a piece of slanted canvass? The two piece panels are pretty cumbersome to hang and also to store when not in use. Just asking.....

On our 33 we had the slant back with just one piece of iesen glass in the center with a zipper near the entry door (port side) . We are having it made the same way for our new (to us) 38

Thanks, that was suggested. I was thinking about just the canvass, no glass for easier storage.

On my new setup I ditched the glass and just have canvas. In my sig picture, they are rolled up and held in place with Velcro straps. Alternatively, they can be removed from the sail track.

I'm surprised that you had to remove the fridge.

Below is the instruction sheets that I received directly from the Sea Ray Factory. I hope this helps...

little view of what or 38 looks like without the arch. I kinda like the look but not functional in the long run

I'm such a dumb ass. Went to the boat yesterday to do a few chores. What else do you do when the weather is cold and crappy. I tried to open the hatch for the engine room, and it didn't budge. "Oh shoot, the ram quit." Tried to open the windshield vent, and it didn't budge. What?
So I went down to the electrical panel and checked the battery voltage. 12 on one and zero on the other. Did a battery connection come off? Luckily Sea Ray made my 380 with an extra hatch on the port side cockpit. So I pulled the hatch and dropped down to check the connections. All tight. So I grabbed my battery tester and the voltages from the panel where right. but then I noticed that the battery charger was dark. What? I know the shore power is hooked up. Down to the panel and Opps, the switch for the AC / Inverter is turned off. I won't make that mistake again. Now I wonder if I just killed those to batteries. Why did they die in the first place? I had left the bildge lights on.

Bilge lights will do it. Turn them on and go look at your DC panel ammeter. Incandescent bulbs are quite a draw. Gotta love those manual port and stbd hatches, esp the port side - you can get to the batts if something like your situation arises.

Does anyone have a helm cover that goes over guages, steering wheel etc. want to get on made but would like to have some ideas first

I had a mesh cover (3 pieces) that fit onto the outside of the screen and clears using snaps and zips. Substantially drops the temps in the cockpit as well as offers protection to the entire dash and upholstery

Sorry for being repetitive, but someone please remind me how to hook up the cockpit TV. Power and cable source. Thanks, Mark

Here's what I've got...
Clear panel allows you to see switch lights that you may have left on.
