Official 380 Thread

Yep I've been paying double slip rent for 2 months now. I kept the boat where it is for an extra month so the mechanics could get their work done, then they ghosted me.

@SCFoster Chris just quoted me $3800 to do ALL of the service minus valve and injector adjustments. And that includes travel to northern VA.

Shower sump pump is not working of course, fiddled with it this weekend, cleaned it up, still didn't work. We didn't need to use the shower so it wasn't a priority to fix it.

I meant to take a picture and write down the make and model before we left. Does anyone know the make and model so I can order one?

In my boat....and looks like original:
Assuming its actually the pump and not the float switch:
Rule 800 GPH Square Bilge Pump

Float Switch (two choices depending on your boat):

I’m having issues with the center windshield vent. My gasket is old and doesn’t seal good, so it is on the list to get replaced. If anyone knows where to source and part number thanks in advance.
I typically close and open so that it is not fully extended or jammed tight when closing. Yesterday, I went to open and pushed switch wrong way and vent moved tightly closed (I mean it moved a fraction of an inch). When I pushed switch to open I get nothing. Almost feels like breaker tripped or fuse blew. I checked breaker on panel under dash at helm and it was not tripped. Any ideas on next steps?
Since gasket is compromised the window vent compressed farther than normal.

Thank you, from memory the float is the seal one, the first one you listed.

Have someone manually push it out while you hit the open switch?

2006+ 380SD question…
Opinion…Water heater 1/2” pressure relief valve is was leaking and having trouble finding one.Thinking I should just replace this 2006 unit with new hot water heater? Also I was surprised to see the Atwood heat exchanger from engine heat were not installed, so it will only operate on 120 volts? Does your 380 hot water heater work from engine heat??

Thank you

If I'm not mistaken a 6 gallon Kuuma will fit in there. $331 at Hodges marine. My understanding is folks with a generator don't bother with the engine hookup. Had it hooked to the yanmar in the Beneteau sailboat.

Does anyone have the measurements for the propeller shaft diameter for the CAT 3116 with ZF85 transmissions? I think it's 1.5 inches. Is that correct and what's the diameter of the stern tube? I think it's 3.25 to 3.5 inches.
I think the PSS shaft seals are P/N 03-112-312

Looking to replace the leaky PSS Shaft seals with either Tides dripless or Lasdrop.
