Official 370 Venture thread

Does anyone need/want the rear canvas for our 370 Venture? I’m redoing some things and don’t need the top, sides, door, or frame. Anyone interested let me know. It’s all in very good shape. DEB95DE2-E36D-4B9C-91CB-1FDFA7BDA3B0.jpegAF607FBF-3B47-4062-81A2-E586AC0153E6.jpeg

I’m looking to get new engines. Has anyone done that to these 370 ventures????
Please call me. 772-631-5005. Mike t.

Ok. I found the post and read everything there. My repower guy is struggling to come up with how to repower. He says the boat is only rated for the 300 horsepowers. And he can’t get mercury to approve anything bigger or even the 300R’s which he and I agreed seemed to be best fit. I want to know what happens if you don’t snorkel the engines! I don’t even like that they are snorkeled. My common sense just tells me that I’m blowing salt air right into my engines.

Weight on this boats is a big issue. Anything other than what we have might not "fit" due to weight. That swim platform is so big and heavy and maybe too low to the water a few inches. Those number for speed, rpm and fuel consumption what were shown on the You Tube Boat Test back in 2013 are suspicious.

Good luck with your sale. Dont bash the Venture on the way out. Its a fantastic boat! Our engine and performance data is spot on with what Boat Test posted. Zero performance issues with the right props.

IMG_1889.jpg IMG_1890.jpg IMG_1891.jpg IMG_1892.jpg As an update to my earlier posts, I managed to get the flat screen LCD TV off to access the area behind the TV. It was a real head scratcher so maybe this post will help someone out. The TV is fixed to a black panel that has some "patented" clamps/snaps on the back pivot to lock when you push in, and release under tension when you pull out. I only figured this out after snaking a camera back there. Here are some pictures that will explain.

Bob! Thanks!! This is awesome! So...how do you get the TV out? Unscrew the four screws and then just pull?

No unscrewing necessary, just give it a firm pull and those "clasps" release. I was hesitant to yank as hard as is needed, but was able to reach behind the TV into cutout on the panel. At that point I was yanking directly on the wood backing behind the TV and it release the first 2 clasps. The next 2 came out relatively easy. Let me know how it goes.

Has anyone had the anchor winch trip out the fuse? What did you find as the cause?
Were you pulling the anchor in when it tripped? Just an FYI, you should only use the winch to take up slack and then to pull the anchor straight up. Don't let the winch pull the boat to the anchor. It's not designed for that kind of load. (Sorry if this is obvious)

The fuse trips without touching the up or down button. I believe one of the foot switches has failed to ground. I haven’t tried disconnecting those to see if that’s it.
