Official 370 Sundancer thread

OK, now we are getting somewhere. The boat wiring makes no assumption about accessories that may or may not exist. So Sea Ray provides a single, 8 gauge feed from the Electronics breaker to this fuse block. Then whomever is rigging the boat will tap into that block to power optional accessories, such as a VHF radio, Chart Plotter, auto pilot, etc. You can purchase a new fuse block to replace this one. I did just that over a decade ago, and when I did, I moved my block to up and behind the dash where the GPS and gauges are.
Here's the page out of the Supplement showing the wiring diagram for that block. All of those leads are likely going to the devices in the dash, so they should be very easy to trace out.

Who supplies replacement canvas for 97 370 DA? Great Lakes doesn't seem to.
Nobody. Find a reputable local shop, and get in line. There are significant supply chain issues in the upholestry business. I just had this done, and it took a while because of material shortages.

So I'm curious.
What's the longest trip you've done without refuelling?
Hours, distance or both...

For me, we're just south of Sydney, so a lot of our trips are short, with an hour and a half open ocean run to Sydney harbour, but we're starting to consider some longer ones, because.. why not!

I would say depends on speed and rpm, but at 3000 rpm you could safely go 120 nautical miles. I don’t necessarily trust the gas gauges so when I get to 1/4 tank I’m looking for fuel.

Conditions, speed etc. There's always a thousand variables, and I never trust the guages either. Just interested to see how far people have pushed it in their own circumstances

OK, let's start with this. In your mid-ship's floor locker where your sump, and cabin bilge pump are, tap the aft wall of that compartment, and/or look for signs of dry rot in that wall. Try to push a pencil through it. Tell me what you find.
Go to your cockpit, and open the coaming locker under the port seat/step. pull that carpet up if you can. is the flooring completely covered in resin? Does the wood have dark stains?. Is the carpet wet? Can you push a pencil through it?
Do you have an ice maker in the cockpit sink area anymore?
Thank you for your reply and help. That cockpit coating locker is my favorite. Never a drop of water in there. The bilge area… can’t poke holes where you mentioned, but can elsewhere (attached photo). I have a fridge instead of ice maker. I’ll try to look behind it tomorrow but I think it’s sound. I’ve had the boat just over a year and I think I’m that time a soft spot has developed in front of the galley fridge. It concerns me. The second pic shows the pencil holes.

They have been out of production for well over a decade. No one has ever found any new old stock as far as I know. Another member and I pooled our good pieces and had a local yard guy fabricate 2 pairs out of fiberglass. I still have my set, and likely will never put them on. I came up with a better idea, and it's worked for me for nearly 20 years now. I can't find the posts right now, so you'll have to search around. If I find it, I'll point you to it.
Found one.

1995 370 AC water pump locked up. No label or model to be found on the unit, found a Dometic pump that physically matched and is listed at 450gpm flow. Seems to work fine just unsure if that gpm is correct, (2) systems run off the one pump (5k btu aft & 12k btu forward).

You likely had a March 500, which is 500 GPH. The one you have should be fine.
I started installing these, and have had zero issues with them, and my A/C runs just about non-stop

In case it helps anyone else, I was having trouble with my westerbeke generator. Essentially losing rpm under heavy load, despite the governor working as it should.
I serviced it, new plugs, changed the oil in the governor, rebuilt the water pump, adjusted the rpm, and still, under heavy load, it would almost stop running, and cause things like the AC to cut out due to low power.
In the end, I pulled the carby off, stripped it apart, cleaned it thoroughly and put a rebuild kit through it (#038100) and it's done the trick.
For those who haven't done this type of job before, it's quite simple, lots of carby cleaner and compressed air will help, and maybe even a fine pin to clear small passages.

Question about props.
1995 370 with 7.4 engines running 18 x 21 props (3 blade). Going to send out this winter to get them checked and tuned up. What are you all running for props?
I don't really run above 3200rpm as that feels like the best cruise speed (19 knots).
