Question, I had my port heat exchanger tested and it failed the pressure test. The quote to replace was 3,000.00. Has anyone replaced theirs recently? They quoted 2000.00 for the part and 1000.00 to install, I am I not seeing the whole picture here.............. seems quite high.

Very straight forward DIY project in my experience. I had great luck and outstanding service from the guys linked below. I don't see anything near $2k on their website but you'll have to call to confirm which is the right one for your boat.

Had my heat exchanger installed over the weekend....................... Don't know how the marina can quote 7.5 hours labor, and we finished in 2.5 hours.

Because you stood there and watched them... and perhaps said enough that they figured out you knew what was involved. Hopefully they spotted you back the extra 5 hours.

I actually had my personal mechanic do the install with me. It was a piece of cake.

1995 370 sundancer.....has anyone swapped their off-white refrigerator door with SS door? if so where did you get it from? also has anyone found close-enough replacements for the microwave/coffee maker? thanks in advance

If that's the Norcold DE series, the yellow front is just a formica insert to replicate the cabinetry. You should be able to get a SS or SS looking veneer cut to size and replace it.
Easiest to take the door off the fridge and take it to a table to work on. You will be disassembling the frame.

Looking for a little help. The hot water used to be scalding hot and last quite a while. Took a shower over the weekend and it was hot but more to the warmer side and it ran out quick. So I waited a while for it to get back to normal and it never did................. warm water at best and not a lot of it.

They have 110v heating elements just like your house heater does. you have to remove power, drain it down enough to remove the heating element(s) and replace. Make sure it's getting power to the heating element before doing all that, though. Did you leave the breaker off perchance? Sometimes "warm" water is because you just ran for a while, and the water heater (note not a HOT water heater. No reason for one of those), was close enough to the power plants to soak some heat, or had a heat exchanger plumbed into the heater tank.

I'm with you. I was just a few years out of college in 1995 when the 370 came out. I was recently married, had been a home owner for just a few years and was on the second season with my first boat, a 22' Four Winns. I loved the boat when I first saw it, but at the time it was so far out of my reach financially that it was just pipe dream. I cut out the two page add Sea Ray ran for the boat in all the magazines with the tag line "therapy for your soul" and pinned it up on the wall of my cubical. 5 years ago, after about 5 promotions, three relocations, three kids and two other boats I finally bought a 1995 370. After 5 seasons I still love it and dont have any plans to part with it any time soon. I have spent the last 5 years tinkering with it and have probably serviced just about every system aboard at least once. It has a great balance of size and functionallity and even at 14 years old still looks very current.
I am curious If you have come across an issue with "low voltage" output from westerbeke genny....I am buying a 95 370 and sea trial yesterday that was only issue...on start 80v-ish no load, AC load around 105v fluctuating...
