Official 370 Sundancer thread

OK, here's another one while you are waiting to thaw out in spring.....

If you have a fluxgate compass for your autopilot, where is it mounted on your 370?

I've got an 08' 350 Sundancer, my AC unit is aft, port and seemingly no easy access. It's nearing death due to the poor drain pan rusting from standing water. I want to replace it but I'm not sure the best way to get the old unit out without totally disassembling the wall between the aft cabin and the location ofthro unit. Anyone done this have any tips? Cheers

Sea Ray is horrible at giving out service bulletins. One thing you can do is go into your Sea Ray dealership and talk to the guys in the parts department. They have shared the bulletins with me. Good Luck.

I need to buy/build a cabinet door on my 94 370 DA for the opening where the old TV. Does anyone know the laminate color (It is a version of white. I believe Sea Ray used Formica)? Or better still, a source to have the door made?
Thanks in advance.

I have a question, my boat is currently in storage and I can't measure the round access cover on the side of the arch. Does anyone happen to know what size it is? I am guessing 6 1/2 inches because the speaker that is currently in there is 6 inches.................. ??

Are you talking about the access for the antenna mounts up high, or the factory speaker holes?

I moved my speakers up there so the size must be close to the same. I was tired of them blasting in my ear.

Hello 370DA Owner’s, I just secured a 92’ and was doing some research on trim tabs, has anyone installed the 36”x12” w/ 3” drop fins from Bennett Marine on their 370?

Would like to hear about your experience if so.

Hey guys, Still looking for the factory location of a water system accumulator on my '95 370DA
not found around pump and tank. Where is yours? aftermarket?
any help appreciated.

The primary lurkers of this thread are 1996-1999 models, which are substantially different than the 1990-1995 model.
You might get a better response in the maintenance section. My 1998 has no accumulator, and never did.

OK, I'm going to try this again, a different way.
The factory documentation for Sea Ray Sundancers includes an owner/operator 3 ring binder full of information on the boat, both general purpose, and stuff very specific to the 370 model of our vintage. The most exciting stuff is in Section 12, 370 Sundancer Owner's Supplement. Mine is MIA. I went to the Sea Ray site, and downloaded their scanned version of this section. Some of the worst scanning I have ever seen. But I digress. Is there ANY owner out there that has the printed originals of section 12? This will primarily be the DC and AC wiring schematics for the boat. If you do, it would be a great asset to all owners here to have a legible copy of that. I'll do the work if you want to send me yours.
From the downloadable copy, there are 2 documents. Sections 1-11 comes in one, which is numbered MRP #759043.
Section 12 is numbered (illegible). See attachments. I could really use your help on this if you can scare up a good set.
Thanks

Need to replace the window gasket that covers the screws in the track on the windshield and side glass. Does anyone know what and where to buy? Mine is way over due to replacing. Do I need to go pull a piece up to figure out the profile or on a 370 DA 1998 the pasts place(s) will know?

I replaced my screw covers on my '99 370 a year ago. I found the part number for the windshield frame in my 3 ring binder owners manual and sent that info to Taylor made directly. This time around it was a rubber molded gasket rather than the rectangular block style. If you already have a molded rubber gasket, you might be able to remove a section to identify the type you'll need.

Have a fun one for you guys. This past summer I was letting out my ladder on my 95, which is stored up under the swim platform. But when it reached the end, the plastic stops broke, and then my ladder shot off and slowly floated to the bottom. I have tried searching everywhere for a similar style ladder, but it seems Sea Ray switched to the "ladder on top" version of the swim platforms soon after 95. Right now I am planning on heading to a fab shop and having a new piece bent/welded to work, but I figured I would see if this group had any additional thoughts. I will try to attach a picture of the swim deck. Thanks!
