Official 370 Sundancer thread

I think it must have changed in 95. Do yours look like mine in the picture? Here's another. Just not seeing any creases. Particularly on the ends and it feels like that's where it's attached. Just can't see how it could be from the back. No way to get there.

I have found that they sometimes put the screws along the edge of the panel and leave out some staples on the back that attach the fabric covering in the screw area. If you give the fabric a tug along the edge you may find a lose spot where you can pull it out of the way enough to access a screw. Sometime you can feel the screw through the fabric first and then pull the fabric back. Mark

Yep! Right on the corners behind the fabric. Thanks Mark!

Hi All
Does any body know how to remove the sliding door to the forward cabin, mine has dropped the roller off the top of the door
and its fallen down inide the pocket
The top of the bulk head that the door track lives in looks like its made in 2 halves but
I cant see for the life of me how it comes apart.

Not sure what it will buy you, but there is access to the track through a cut out in the bulkhead, which is accessed by removing the salon TV. If you still have the original TV, there are 2 Phillips screws holding the 3/4" plywood the tv is mounted on, located under the lip of the cabinet it is mounted in.

Thanks
Yeah I had a look in there but I'll need to get the door out to reattach the roller to the top of the door.
From the cabin side it looks like the bulkhead trim piece is in 2 separate parts to facilitate removal but
I cant see how its attached, I'm thinking that if I very carefully remove the chrome edge trim that
there might be a couple of recessed screws,I'm just sort of hoping that someone might have might have taken it apart during a re-trim or some thing

Thanks

Re: Cabin door upper slider help 05' 390DA
If you are talking about the stateroom door I had a similar problem on my 05 420 Sundancer.

You can remove the trim at the top of the door to gain access to the track. On my 420 the trim was just held in by a tight fit and tree clips and a few screws. I have a mirror on the wall the door is in so I drilled a 3" hole behind the mirror for access to that part of the track and to allow new rollers to be installed. It was much less work than removal of the wall that the local Searay dealer recomended.

If you find out you need new rollers I have extras, assuming they are the same let me know if you want them.

Hey 370 wizards...

The port hole window in the head on my 1997 is leaking with the result that water is dripping down and tripping the GFI directly below. All of the window gaskets appear to be original so, with one leak happening, I want to replace all of them.

Can anyone direct me to a source for the gaskets for the oval 370 windows?

Still in the process of removing all the gold. Anyone know where to buy faucets that fit the bath and shower? So far I had a good buy for the outside sink and a miss for what I bought for the galley sink. Looks okay but the fittings didn't match up. Like to avoid that again if I can.

I removed all the gold/brass from my entire boat this winter. I bought some of my fixtures at defender.com I believe this is the one for your shower http://www.defender.com/product3.jsp?path=-1|51|2234270|2234271&id=922452 They have quite a few options for your basin also if you just search "faucets".

Thanks Tom. If your 370 was like mine with the "gold" trim package then I suppose you're dealing with a lot of the same hardware that I've been. Labor of love, I guess. I found a chrome shop here that striped most everything to the SS so it's looking good. Throttle/shift levers, grab bars, sink, door handles...
Thanks for the link. I bought a Scandvik faucet for the galley sink and had trouble with the threads on the hoses matching up. Tighter threads on the boat side than the faucet side. Did you have any trouble with that?

I actually have a 410 Sundancer, and when thread sizes didn't match I either replaced them or used threaded couplers. I ended up replacing everything with new where I could, and where I couldn't I was able to find new/old stock on eBay for things like the Sea Ray badging on the exterior. Let me know if I can help with anything.

We had the exact same issue. The original style is no longer available (gasket and screen as one piece) - checked Sea Ray and Flounder. There is a replacement screen and gasket is available from Bomar for $33 each. It is a new style with a separate gasket and framed screen that fits in the gasket. It is SR part no 959288. You can get them directly from Bomar.

I first thought of pulling out the original gasket, replacing the screen and gluing the gasket back in until I realized how much the original gasket had dried out and crushed down - thus replacement. When I got the new gasket and compared to the old, I knew where the leak was coming from.

Sunpad help:
Looking for pics and dimensions of the table and supports for the back cockpit. I found the cushion, but not anything else.
I probably will have to construct unless someone has extra parts not needed.
Thanks

Hey Folks, long time lurker here. Have a recently acquired 1993 Sea Ray 370 Express Cruiser. As someone mentioned earlier, I too am also trying to gain access to the main cabin door lower rollers. Google searches have come up empty for me. I removed the breaker panel inside the galley to see if I could gain access but it definitely seems as though the fiberglass panel will need to be removed from the cockpit side. I see a bead of silicone that runs along with outside of this large panel but no screws that I can see. Has anyone attempted this before? If it's not making sense, I'll try to post some pictures of my current set up.

Thanks!
AJ

This isn't my boat, but a photo I found online. The panel in front of where the sliding cabin door would be in the open position. It houses a couple of cup holders and the foot rest on the bottom. I assume this must come off to gain access to the lower roller?

I think the style changed with the 94 or 95 model 370 but, if it's designed like the 95... you need to removed the silicon around that large panel that has the cup holders. Then there should be some screws near the very bottom of it to remove and then tilt up. The screws can be hard to see.

Thanks! I'll look at it again when I get back on the boat. Hoping to launch next weekend!

Anyone pulled wire from the electrical panels in the cabin to the engine room? The conduits look pretty full already from factory wiring when looking at the end at the panels. Before I tackle the project I'm just trying to understand where the other end of that conduit from the panel comes out? I'm guessing it goes to the helm, but not positive. Would love to find a way to run directly to the other side of the bulkhead to the engine room, rather than going the long way around. Trying to feed from a breaker switch to a new power inverter and back. And I'm setting it right near the batteries. Ideas on the beast path?
