I have one side panel that could use the backing replaced what do you plan on using as your backer?

Probably auroco plywood sealed with west systems epoxy. It has very low amount of gaps in the layers.I used it about 10 years ago on my 300we and that is holding up great according to the current owner.

A bit of of this topic but when I first joined this forum I was paging through the posts and you had posted the part number for changing your windshield screw cover trim do you remember what it was? I can not seem to find your old post again.

I looked up the number that I have off my parts list for my 93 but Flounder does not list my part number as one of the ones used.

Thanks
Ed

Just joined the 350 club, boat is still in FLA, however when I get her up here I will be bugging the life out of you with questions, I am hoping some of the things not working are just me not knowing how to operate properly. First inboard boat so the list of problems compared to the smaller old boats I have had is growing. Found out about vapor lock 2 hours after we set out, ladies using TP did not help the toilet, engine hatch stuck up thankfully after we got to port, generator throwing a UV code right now, idler pully bearings went fixed everything except the generator, going to tackle that when I get up to NJ.

2014 350 Sundancer Twin 8.2s Bravo 3s w/Axius.
Port engine misfire and emission sensor warnings popping up, but engine seems fine. Cant seem to get the local dealers attention. Anyone seen this problem before?
Thanks, TBrown

I am new to this forum, and looking for the foam around the base of the windshield or a better solution and where to buy it, and how hard it is to replace, as well I have a vent window that is leaking, any siggestions

Yes i replaced the foam at the bottom of the windshield with rubber insert. It curls at the bottom and locks into the channel edge at the top.about $82 delivered for 14 ft.
can you tell me where you bought this edging?

I bought it through fp marine. You can look up the part number on taylor made products web site, then call fp with the part number.

On a different note ,i just updated my electronics.New axiom 9 and new quantum2 doppler dome.I may have to add a heading sensor to communicate with autopilot but not sure yet.I do have my working pathfinder and crc80plus with rs 125 sensor for sale.would be nice to sell locally.

I looked further at the panel, mine has 8 screws going from the top side down in to the backside of the panel.

You can get to them from the left angled side of the dash as long as you have a cut out there for electronics. I just cut mine out for a Garmin 8212 and I was able to see the screws.
It always pays to take some time and go through old threads!

Hello everyone- I have the big block merc sterndrives and am wondering what you guys typically cruise at for a trim level. I ask because whenever I trim up to “get more efficiency” it seems to me the engines are actually laboring a bit harder. The RPMs go up, my speed says the same and my GPH either stay the same or go up a tiny bit. It doesn’t feel to me like I am gaining any efficiency or reducing drag by trimming up. I typically am cruising around 3700 RPM and 30-32mph but trimmed all the way down (0.0 on the smartcraft gauges). We bought the boat last year and I feel like I must not have this sorted out given everything I read and understand about trim. So question: what do cruise at RPM / MPH wise and where are you trimmed on the smart craft gauges?

I just bought a 91 350 sundancer last October really looking forward to this summer. Found this thread last night glad to see one this boat.

Wow - Just purchased a 1990 Sea Ray Express Cruiser and I am sure I am getting ahead of myself but so many questions and so little time :) Purchased in the fall, stored inside so want to get many projects done before spring launch. Question - Mine has no factory A/C and am looking to install. Windsor Ontario Canada here - think Detroit Michigan, but am wondering, if your boat was equipped with AC from the factory, where is / was it located on the boat? If you installed after the fact, where did you install the unit? Factory or aftermarket - suggested BTU's ?Thought about pulling the on board central vac unit from underneath the formost left side under settee compartment but footprint is not big enough. No room underneath anywhere else under the settee. I am thinking underneath the front cabin bunk but would not that be too noisy / "vibraty" from a sleeping perspective? Many questions to follow! Thank You!

On my 1990 350, there are 2 AC units:
1- under the v berth cushion. also the location for the fresh water pump. (2 compartments).
2nd-under the aft cabin cushion towards the rear window, center

No aft cabin here so just the one AC too be installed and I am thinking under the v berth - is yours factory AC or aftermarket and how many BTU's under the V berth?

It is factory, but I'm not sure of the BTU's.

I love the extended swim platform on yours. It looks great!

Started working on tearing the carpet out today to replace with vinyl plank flooring.
