Re: OFFICIAL 350/370 SD Site (2008 or newer)

Well geni got to 17 hours and through the impeller in the kohler i guess they are impeller eaters this right after getting my port engine squared away not even two hours after picking my boat up from dealer but they fixed geni right away with a different brand impeller that they have had better luck with hope you all get your bugs out before warranty is up

Hi!

Your all mentioning the fuel consumption at full speed, but what about cruising speed +/- 17 mph ?

And with which engines.

George

I get best economy at either trawler speed or cruise at 24 mph 17 is to slow she planes at 19.5 with full tabs at 24 gph 26.7 mph @ 33 gph 37.4 @ 61 gph thats 8.1 horizons with v drives was warned off of axius by merc mechanic

As you can see, I did get the Axius system, and find it so helpful docking in tight spots or difficult conditions. Can you share the mechanic's concerns, just so I know what to look out for. Thanks for your help.

He has done a few control modules on first generation axius he said that the new ones coming out are not hydraulic but electric making it alot like Zeus pod drives so most issues are with the hydraulic type axius they keep making changes so older series parts are alot more expensive to repair most of my friends have v drives but the ones that have axius love it only two I know had software issues they keep getting upgrades

This boat seems to run very high (bow up). Has anyone made any modifications to the trim tabs? I do have the Auto trim tab control. Are others experiencing the same issue? Thanks

Yes she dose run abit bow high I just trim her in more to level her off if I run wot she is flat but I have v drives so bow high is a norm I use full trim at 19 mph

I am finding that my cockpit refirgerator runs between 47 and 53 degrees at the coldest setting. Obviously this is not cold enough. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? My cabin refrigerator needs to be set at 5-6, otherwise the contents will freeze. The tech seems to feel there is no ventilation for the cockpit refrigerator, which is why it runs hot.

My cockpit refer is fine stays cold inside door shelf is not as cold I store all food in cabin fridge and crisper draw

Thanks for your prompt reply. Do you have a temp reading when you say fine. Mine stays a 47-53 degrees - just not cold enough. When they pulled the unit and bench tested, they tell me it went down to 30 degrees.

Haven't used temp probe but it freezes soda when I turn it down made a mess a week ago

Hello in your post you say that your cockpit fridge has no ventilation I have vents cut in The door and there is plenty of air circulation from the other side where trash can is I did find with canvas up on a sunny day fridge dosnt get as cold but with them down it's fine got 34 to 36 degrees yesterday 85 degree out door air and humid

I don't have your boat model, but the problem we fixed might be relevant to you.

My cockpit fridge seemed very wimpy also. Worked fine when tested. It turned out to be a factory defect, the fridge was only connected to AC, the DC was never hooked up. So as soon as we unplugged (or shut the genny) it was warming up.

Pull the fridge and check both the fuses and the voltage at the fridge.

Thanks Mainstream for the thoughtful reply (also to Rich). Yes my cockpit refridgerator door has the two slots top and bottom each and I assume when you say ventilation in the trash can area, you are referring to the slot at the top of that inside compartment to the upper left side. I have both. Even today, with a high temperature of only 85, I am reading 41 with the refrig set to its' highest setting. Yet they tell me they bench tested it and it went to 30 degrees. Note sure what to try next. Whne we hit the hot spell, 90 degree weather, it was running between 47 and 53 degrees.

When it was bench tested the ambient was probably 70 degrees inside. You are testing at 90 degree ambient so that might be the difference. Not sure their test is accurate but I know my cockpit fridge needs to be at max to keep anything very cold but I have not measured the temp. lately.

I also agree mine is turned way up also to get those cold temps I'd say if your fridge is turned up and not getting cold you may have low charge on your reglfrigerant good luck

I'm still having engine wire problems they seam to have run my wires to close to the exaughst manifolds and they are melting also had some fouled platinum plugs now my starboard is acting up

Did they change the hardtop design. I saw a new 370 on the water this weekend and the hardtop was different. Looked more like a Regal hardtop.

No the hard top is the same just has a ski light in it and opening port holes in the bay windows and port holes in the v berth some minor changes in the interior other then that it's the same boat as the 2008 thru 2010 design
