Official 330 Sundancer Thread

I am looking for a swim platform for my 98 330. I have a soft spot in it and would like to switch it out. Does anyone have suggestions on maybe a fix.
Search you tube or Facebook for boogaboo. Guy just replaced his. Maybe the old one is for sale. Or do the upgrade he did. It's nice.

Actually everything is in great shape. Just was missing cushion and filler which is something I can do with out, just was wondering if anyone maybe had that they weren’t using. As for the swim platform there’s a small soft spot. The marina can fix it but it about a 1-2 week turnaround. Don’t want to be out of the water that long.

Ok, there must be a story to the boat you bought. You have a lot of things that are missing or need replacement.

So what is the poop with your boat. Did you just buy it? From where? What marina you in? Etc. If it's just a small spot, that's a fall/winter/spring project.

Haven't been on the forum in a while since I went to another brand after selling our 240 Sundeck. Now we are looking a 2008 330 Sundancer with 496's and Sea Core drives with a bowthruster - no Axius. What is everyone's thoughts on this motor/drive combo? The boat is like-new clean and has been extremely well maintained. We have been looking for an 2008-2009 330 Sundancer for a while and this one is by far the cleanest and well cared for.

Our boat is lacking an inverter, but we have an 8K generator.
I’m curious to know what type of inverter other people have and where they installed it.
I wanted to have an extra frige in my mid cabin to use on long trips so I moved my generator battery farther to starboard adding a battery mount. I then added another battery in my starboard engine starting system and connected it in parallel. I drilled a hole alongside the starboard bench in my mid cabin, (being careful of my water tank), which comes out near these starboard batteries, mounted the inverter on that bench face, ran 12 volt wiring to it, and siliconed the hole. Now the two starboard batteries run the inverter while my two port ones run every other house 12 volt device. I still have a separate generator battery if I happen to run all four of the others down. I'm using a 1500 watt inverter in case I occasionally run something high power but any size will work. I have to transfer the plug of my extra fridge to the inverter and switch it on when I'm underway. The inverters use power when switched on even when nothing is being powered as they have a coling fan. Hope this helps

Does anyone have canvas for 98 330 Sundancer?
You can buy the exact original canvas set from the company that made them for Sea Ray, Great Lakes Boat Top. You can buy on line from their web site. There is also a CSR forum sponsor company that sells the same ones.

Hi all,
Does anyone know The best way to access the fresh water tank to inspect its connections?

We seem to have a small water leak in our fresh water system, with the water exfiltrating down the starboard side past the fuel tank and down into the bilge.
We also noticed that the water pump will kick in every half hour or so for a second to bring the system back up to pressure. That makes me suspect that the leak is somewhere else in the water system beyond the water pump. Since the leak is back in that area, I want to check it out.

Anyone have any experience with this type of problem?

Hello All,

I have a 1997 330 Sundancer. I replaced the main gauge panel as the old one was faded - project went fine. Yesterday we changed switch panel, drew out out a schematic of all wires before disconnecting, but of course, it seems a few did not get put back in their proper spot. As such, my starboard engine start switch, bilge pump switch and nav lights switches aren't working..... Any chance anyone has detailed pics of the back of the panel while the switches are connect from a similar project - long shot but thought I'd try. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Check the locker on the starboard side aft cockpit. There is a water spigot in there, make shure its turned off. There are screws that you can take out and check behind it and check for leaks on the backside of the carpeted board that the spigot and fresh water inlet are mounted to hope this helps

Has anyone else noticed cracking of the fiberglass around the engine exhaust outlets? Engine temps are 160F during normal operation, 170F during cruising speed. 1995 model

Yes, I have cracking around both exhausts. My fiberglass guy told me it's normal & nothing to be concerned about. But, it still bothers me.

If the pump is cycling there is a leak after the water pump for sure. Common places to look that would get water in the bilge are around the dock water input line and the transom shower. Other leaks will show up in the cabin but you said it’s water getting into the bilge.

Ok thank you, I got a bit worried yesterday when I saw it. It makes sense that it would crack if you cast a pipe into fiberglass.

Yup. Minor surface cracking in the gell coat where the exhaust exits outside on my 97 330. Does not bother me at all. It’s cosmetic and minor.
