Official 330 Express Cruiser / 340 Amberjack 1997-2003 Thread

What exactly crapped out on it I mean mine will stay up at 90° until I pull them down into the seated position or if I raise the engine hatch to a certain degree they will tip forward a little bit , the size of the bolster Kinda keeps them in place until you pull them down into the seated position

The port side has noticeable resistance when lifted and lowered. The starboard is like a wet noodle. No resistance and drops as soon as I let it go in the up position. The starboard side did have the vinyl/foam on the bolster replaced by the previous owner. Never thought the cushion may be smaller. I'll check that out. Thank you.

I agree mine are definitely not tight going up and down other than the size of the bolster creating resistance pulling past the seat i’m sure inside the bracket there must be a worn out plastic bushing or sleeves that created the resistance in the first place , but when I push mine up they are completely perpendicular to the seat practically sitting on top of it

There is a little plastic piece riveted to the left hinge that causes friction. On my helm seat this plastic piece has worn enough that the bolster falls down when I lift the engine hatch. I have yet to find a replacement piece or engineer a good replacement solution.

Help! While clearing out the boat in preparation for the winter, I got caught with the canvas down and a very windy rain storm blew through. The cockpit got soaked pretty good. Now my port side 120 volt outlets don’t work. Anybody know if there is a ground fault some where on my 2001 34’ amberjack to reset?

Are you talking about you’re shore power sockets? The only 110 outlet on my deck are on the underside of the cockpit sink and that is connected to the accessory breaker on my a/c panel

I have 1 outlet on the port side to the left of the storage locker,1 in the head,1in the galley. None of these work. All the starboard outlets work fine.

Sounds like a GFI tripped you must have a hidden outlet somewhere that you’re not seeing ,inside the cabinet behind the sink there is an outlet for the TV you might want to take a look at that one if not I’m stumped ,check each outlet for a gfi

Mine has a GFI in the head just over the left hand side of the sink. Probably tripped. There is a second one in a cabinet above circuit cabinet as well, but I think that powers the Stb 110vt outlets.

Come to think of it, I think the GFI recepticle is in the galley's cabinet that shares a wall with the head. Check in that cabinet and let us know!

Thanks Guys, I’ll check all those locations this week when I get down to the boat.
Thanks Jim Buoy, you nailed the location of the GFI. It was in the lower galley cabinet up against the wall between the head . It was up high in the cabinet and can’t be seen just looking straight in. I had to almost stick my head in the opening to see it. Hit the reset and all are working.

Has anyone installed SEADEK Im looking for premade seadek, or does anyone have measurements

I’m not sure if anybody can help me, I’m looking for the middle window on the windshield I’m not sure what it’s called. Also I’m looking to do over my cluster switches and panels and the only place I found was fp marine, does anybody know of anybody else who has these?

Flounder Pounder is the only place I’m aware of, unless having custom pieces made. I’ve seen the replacement panels installed in a late 90s Sundancer. They are nice. I wish the were a bit more reasonable. If they were mine would already be done.

Sea water pump belt replacement does anyone else have a problem replacing this belt? it doesn't fit in between the crank shaft pulley and the water pump pulley do you need to take the crank shaft pulley lose the change this belt? This seems crazy. also which grove should it ride in

So I bit the bullet and purchased all new panels for my dash.. now I have to decide to leave my Raymarine c90w or upgrade to a axiom, my question is should I do a 9” screen or a 12” the reason I ask his the prices are very different. And the way our dashes are set up the screen is directly in front of you so it’s not a problem of seeing it, I’m just curious or people’s thoughts.

I went with a 12" Axiom and 1 12" Axiom Pro. Love them!

So when you upgraded did you have to get new navionics chip? I have a c90w rate now and I was wondering when I buy a axiom can I put my old chip in the new unit? I went to the boat show in Boston over the weekend and he said all I have to do is buy a axiom rv and a pigtail and everything will sync.
