It is 4300-4400
Almost spot on with me 3300 20kts ,3500 23kt ,wide open 4250 28kts but I added cup last year to the props so I lost a little top end but I picked up 1-2 knots in my mid
My best cruise seems be at 3600rpms. That pushes me at 24.5 to 26 mph on the GPS, depending on waves.
If I bring the RPMs down to 3200 the boat ride nose high and i have to use the tabs a bit, slowing it down further.
My flow meters need some work, since they are 4gph different at crusie speed; so I can’t give you accurate burn numbers.
WOT gets me 33mph at around 4500. Fuel burn is scary....
Bottom was soda blaster last season and my paint is good. These are fresh water numbers as well.
Have any of you 330EC owners changed the track and rollers on the door leading into the cabin?
I was looking at it this weekend and see screws along the bottom in front of the Port seat and one screw along the top where the track is visible. I am curious if there are other hidden fasteners. This is high on my to-do list over the winter. My track and rollers are shot.
Thanks in advance for any wisdom.
Hey all, anyone have a Westerbeke 7.0 BCG mounted on the stb side of the stb engine? That's my set up, and I've done zero maintenance on it since I got the boat in 2014, outside of replacing the impeller which absolutely disintegrated a couple of years ago. Oil change seems easy enough from what I've read, but it seems like it would be incredibly hard to access the spark plugs where the gen is mounted. Any advice on that project is appreciated, as well as any others recommended.
Looking to do the same this fall I have a 4.5 wow you have a 7.0 in that?
Yeah I need to do the same door tracks need to be replaced which means that the front cover with a cup holders has to be removed to do this prodject definitely a detailed project for the winter
I own a 97 330EC and am looking for a replacement refrigerator if anyone has any suggestions? I have found the Norcold DE-0041 AC/DC will fit but has a lot of bad reviews. Any other options are welcome! Also doing some renovations and looking to buy one of the removable L-shape aft benches if anyone has one for sale. And recommendations on a good generator to add. The original option was a Westerbeke 4.5KW but in 20 years is that still the recommended option or is there a better one? Thanks!
Sounds about right, I have a 2000 330 with 7.4 horizons and I cruise about 18-19 knots .6-.7 gal/nm. I always say we all can’t get to the dock at the same time when travelling with a group...lots of dock hands are a plus too!
Hi Bob, not sure if you and Rob made a deal on that rear bench but if not let me know....very interested in finding one for my 330
Free Pour - I sold it to Rob this past spring. Good luck in your search!
Thanks Bob...it’s like winning the powerball finding one of these!
There is another thread on this somewhere.
Anyway tracks and rollers are available. Many of these plastic doors have sagged in the middle from age and being out in the sun. Some larger plastic shops can flatten them out but I’d sure be concerned about dimensional changes of the door fits close. Most doors are restively easy to remove for roller and track replacement. Just be very carefull when installing screws. I’d use new stainless steel ones and LocTite on them.
Often debris gets in the lower track and causes the rollers to fracture. In my case a screw came out and jammed the track. I had a tough time opening the door and equally tough time closing it. Flushing water and air down the track finally blew out enough pieces that with work I can move it until I get parts for the repair..
Those of you that live where it freezes be sure to blow Pink down the track before winter freeze.
Hello - wondering you could share the model of refrigerator you ended up with? I have a 1998 330 Express Cruiser...challenge that I have is finding a refrigerator that will fit thru the cabin door. I'm assuming that I'll have to take the refrigerator door off to fit thru the cabin/galley opening. Thx.
Hello All - I have a 1998 330 EC and the original galley refrigerator has failed and needs to be replaced. My issue is that the galley hatch opening is only 21" wide at it's widest point (i.e. base). The refrigerator is wider and deeper than 21". Any suggestions on how to remove and get a new one in?
Hi, I don’t have the model of the fridge in mine but I would agree that you will remove the door from the fridge not only to gain clearance but also to provide somewhere to grip the fridge while carrying it down to the cabin. You may have to remove the cabin door which is a pain but it may give you that little extra clearance. Ensure you protect all the interior finishes with tape and cardboard as usually the metal of the fridge case is sharp and will easily cut or mark surfaces...I am sure you thought of that but I know sometimes I get into a project and forget details.
If you search the Norcold site they have a good listing of specs and dimensions. Not sure if yours is currently dual voltage but if not it’s a great addition to get the 120v/12v option as you take the load off your batteries while on dockside power. They all cool down quickly and then when you leave the dock the 12v takes over and maintains the cold
Hi everyone, I have made the decision to replace the upholstery on my upper deck seats and was wondering if anyone has any experience removing the helm seat. I think they are bolted from inside the cavity that houses the ice maker but not sure. I am an hour away from where I store the boat so I wanted to be sure I arrive with enough tooling should I need to pull the referigerator that now sits in place of the original ice maker.
You are correct it’s six screws underneath after you remove the icemaker there’s also a piston that connects to the power seat that has to be dismantled as well nothing complicated just tight spaces and patience
Thanks for the reply and the pictures they really help me see what I am into...I dread pulling that fridge out again but I have nothing but time right now as I wait for launch in 5 months.
