Official 330/350 (2008 and newer) Thread

I have one factory installed. If you find the parts manual it actually shows you the location. The holding can is behind the lift up back for the couch near the switch panel and the hose attaches under the seat to the right of the storage compartment.
Thanks. I was leaning towards that compartment anyway because it's pretty open and is close to the panel. Thanks for your help. Searay is slow to respond, I even tried to find pictures on line.

Is the inlet port installed on the part that slides out ?

If I'm understanding you question correctly yes.

Thanks for your help. It worked out great. Once I removed the mid cabin couch, routing of the hose and wires was easy because Searay had holes pre-cut in the wood panels leading to the inlet hole(which also was pre-cut behind the carpet). I ended up getting a dirt devil because Intervac was not easy to get whereas the dd was available anywhere that retailed rv merchandise.

I have the factory Raymarine 18" radar closed dome on my 2009 330 DA. The original radar mount is powder coated aluminum, and it is starting to corrode and look like crap, as is the Perko aluminum navigation light bolted to it. I'm thinking of replacing them with a Seaview stainless 5" high aft leaning radar mount and light bar. Has anyone installed one of these? If so, please let me know how it has worked out, what you liked/disliked about it, etc. Thanks in advance.

I need to relocate the breaker for my engine hatch actuator from the bilge to somewhere it is actually accessible if it blows wth the hatch closed. I've seen some discussion of this problem, but I've not seen what anyone actually did to finally remedy it. Can anyone tell me if they have done this, and if so how it was done? I would prefer to move that entire breaker panel out of the bilge, but I'd imagine that is too difficult. Maybe the single breaker can be moved from that panel to the breaker panel under the starboard helm seats? Thanks in advance.

Anyone ever removed the main panels to get to the back of the radios in the cabin on 2008 330DA? I’m trying to hookup a fusion bt100, but cannot get the panels out. Seems the radios are attached from the inside?

To the best of my memory:

Whole front door must come off incl. hinges.

Then 4 screws in panel corners. Panel is split in two as far as I remember - top part and lower part. I think to remember it was easier to get the top one out and then I could access everything from there. One panel is slightly smaller in height and that was what I took out..

But it has been 6+ years.. so sorry I can’t help more. Amplifier was in the side cabinet to the right of the panels - behind the wood backing there.

Greetings, Just splashed our (new to us) 2008 330SD. I have a couple shore power questions and main panel questions.
Can I operate the A/C & Refrigerators on one 30 amp cord? Plugged into shore #1 with Transfer switch on?
(Obviously keeping power usage in mind less than 30amp)
There is a “AC METER” switch in the upper middle of main panel, what does it do? Right or left it does nothing, tried with shore power on 1 and 2 shore power cords connected.

One more Q... where does the cabin table 30” pole store?

So far we love the 330SD and looking forward to a great CV19 free summer

Yes, you can run AC/Ref. on #1 with Transfer switch on.
sounds like maybe your gauge is now working- or there was no draw at the time.
under the floor hatch in the salon is where I keep mine

Looking for the exhaust fan...

The head/galley fan was really loud and now stopped working before I could locate it. Does anyone know where it is? And where is DC panel Vent breaker.

Thanks for the help

Found the exhaust fan, Its above the A/C unit in the aft up to the right and tough to reach.

Bilge pump button on my 09 350 helm doesn't work. I've checked the bilge pump with the float switch manually, interchanged the electrical clips between emergency backup bilge pump and floats and they work fine, but I can't get the one at the helm to work. Seems the switch on the helm is part of the whole cluster, I'm not sure if there is 1 fuse for that button switch or the whole panel on the helm. Has anyone experienced a similar situation or know where I can look next?

It could be the switch panel, but I would check a couple things first. There are two bilge pump fuses/breakers. The fuse for the emergency pump is on the panel under your helm seat. Based on your test, it sounds like this fuse is good. The fuse for the main bilge controlled by your helm switch panel is on the aft EIM and this one could be tripped. The aft EIM is in the engine compartment mounted on the forward bulkhead. There are resettable fuses/breakers on the EIM for each output. Check to make sure that isn’t tripped by pushing in on the “button”. If the fuse/breaker is good, then you still may have a wiring issue. On my 2008 330 the wire for the bilge pump is Brown #11. When you press the bilge switch at the helm, the light on the switch should light and there should be +12vdc on Brown #11 out of the EIM. From the image you posted, it looks like you have the manual. Assuming it is almost identical as mine, the schematic is on page 24. If you have +12vdc on Brown #11 then look for a loose connection or broken wire between the EIM and the bilge pump.
If none of this helps or the bilge helm switch doesn’t light up when turned on, you could have a bad switch or pad or even an issue with that circuit in the EIM. An alternate to replacing the pad or EIM would be to use one of your Accessory switches. On my boat ACC1 and ACC2 are used for the underwater lights and a raw water wash down pump. If you aren’t using both ACC buttons, you could move the bilge pump wire from EIM #11 to the ACC wires from the EIM.
Sorry for the long post, but the EIM and switch pad can be an expensive item to replace. Want to make sure it’s needed before swapping those parts!

Great info Tom, I just finished installing a wash down pump and its time to wire to Acc 1. Based on the wiring diagram It should be easy to find the wire. Do you know the best way to get the wire from the helm to the bilge? I knew everything pathway on my 290SD but have not explored much on this new to me 2008 330.
Thank you,

Thank you,

If I understand you correctly, you shouldn’t need to run a wire from your bilge to the helm for the ACC1 switch to control your wash down pump. Assuming your pump is in the bilge, the aft EIM is also in the bilge and the ACC1 wire will be right there based on the schematic. The helm switch panels connect directly to the EIM (aft or forward) with a couple wires already. However, if you do need to run a wire from the helm to the bilge, I’ve done it by removing the plastic panel with the built in cup holder. This panel is on the starboard side at the helm, down by your right knee. Once you remove about 6 screws around the edge, that panel comes out and you can reach forward to get wires under the helm. You can also reach aft to an opening which allows you to fish wires down to the bilge above the batteries.
Hope this helps. If not, just let me know.

Thanks Tom, I'm headed down there this weekend to take a look at your suggestions. Although I'm looking at some old photos of the engine room, I am trying to see what the eim is. Here are some pictures of what I am looking at when I am in the engine room. Can you let me know if any of these are it.

I found a helm switch on eBay, but I'd rather wire to my acc2, just need to figure out the wiring schematic and the helm switch is a simple plug in harness
