Thanks, what about for the back cushion. I can see a number of the bolts more the middle of the cushion through the hatch but what about the two sides, do you remove the panel with the electric/water to get at the port side?

Aft seat is through the trunk and rear cup holders. There are some underneath when you pull the bottom cushions off. I did not have to remove the transom shower.

Port lounger have some underneath when the bottom cushion is removed. Behind the speaker by the cabin door and in the strorage next to the cockpit fridge

Helm seats are just the twelve studs accessed through the door, those come out individually and have a little weight to them

I really appreciate the info. Thanks!

Good Morning 320 peeps, I am trying to route my new thermostat cable from my heat/AC unit up to the new hole I have made for my new thermostat. The new harness is one of the 7-pin designs and I tried to use a speaker cable to fish the new cable up to the hole but it failed due to the small opening of the zip ties used for the old cable. Has anyone done this and if so can you offer any guidance on how you got it done?

Hi all! I’m new here! I have a 2002 320 Dancer and looking to upgrade some of the dash electronics. Looking for Multi-Touch displays. Any recommendations would be appreciated, or point me in the right direction. Thank you.
As 20 year old gauges were not working perfectly well, I did this:
Mercury engine management and modern plotter as well, next week will add also autopilot and full AIS.2022-06-26 13.48.52.jpg

Lift the hatch and there will be three plastic access panels there. 7/16” nuts on studs up there. Remove them and seatbacks come off

Shenanigans,
I accessed nuts for the forward cockpit seat through the 3 access ports accessible once I raised the engine hatch, but this wasn't enough to release them. I ran out of time but I'm thinking I may have to remove the cup holders forward of this seat (just behind Helm Seat) for access to more nuts, does this sound right to you? Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike

I was doing my engine winterizing and had the wife watching the exhausts for antifreeze. She screamed "its coming out of the bottom". I thought she meant the snorkel exhaust. I get down and have a look at the hull and there is a line of antifreeze running from both shaft logs.
Is it the shaft seal or stuffing box? Where do i start that troubleshooting?

Nevermind, no more nuts to loosen, I just had to get more aggressive on pulling up the seat. It is now out. Thanks for your help.

Harmon,
Was there a lot of anti-freeze in your bilge that could have come out of a poor seal? Have you been experiencing a lot of water in the bilge when the boat was still in the water? It's hard to imagine anti-freeze running freely from the shaft without any previous issues. Is there anyway the anti-freeze could have been streaming down to the shaft externally (e.g. did you leave the engine thru hulls open while running antifreeze into the sea strainers??)?

Thanks Happy G. There was a lot of AF in the bilge as a matter of fact. The port eng alternator was siezed a bit and it affected the belt spinning the raw water pump which in turn made the AF just flow out of strainer for a bit
As far as water in the bilge question, the answer would be not really. When I get to the boat I usually turn on the bilge pump to see whats down there. sometimes it was dry and no water and if we had rain over the week, sometimes a bit would come out. Nothing consistent. But the fact that it was leaking from shaft area does mean there is a breach of some sort.

Wow, tough one, so both shafts have suddenly started leaking?

I guess the first thing is figure out what you have for a shaft seal. If it's a dripless, what type? are the bellows intact? have the set screws backed off? is it time for new O-rings? Did something get in the bilge that damaged both bellows?, etc. Then depending on the type of shaft seal you have the fix could be anything from something that can be done with everything in place to potentially pulling your shafts to make the fix. The good news is that your boat is out of the water so this can be handled before next season. Let me know what you figure out.

It looks like my boat comes with a spare seal already installed on the shaft, I have no idea if mine is original or someone already used the spare. The issue, which is always an issue in that engine room is access to that area.

That's sweet! I know Lasdrop did that with their seals, which I thought was a really slick design. Your boat is a 2006 so my guess would be that the spare seal has not been used yet, they last a pretty long time. Access is terrible, I would have to hire someone to do it, no way I'm flexible or small enough to get down there. Good Luck!

New boat to me this year. When I hauled the boat for the winter there were no zincs on the shafts, should there be?

Looks awesome, was thinking of doing the same. What do you use for the fuel guage to know the tank level?

I've removed the bolsters in my V-berth and gained a lot of sleeping room. Now I'm looking for refinishing ideas to cover the exposed fiberglass shelf. Anyone have ideas and pictures to share?
