Official 320 Dancer Thread

Is this speaker in the mid-stateroom supposed to work? My two speakers in the v berth work great. Also, if I switch on the stereo amplifier dc switch my cockpit speakers activate. However, the single speaker in the mid stateroom doesn’t work. Anyone come across this? If it’s just broken how do I access it? Thank you!

Gel Coat coming off??

I am about to buy a 2006 320 dancer with 400 hours on the clock. I always get alot form various forums so I just joined this forum. Currently "she" is out of the water at the marine broker waiting for the survey and I noticed some of the gelcoat is flaking off the transom right underneath the swim platform. A couple of places silver dollar sized each you can see the pink fiberglass. I was thinking maybe this is moisture getting in past the bolts that hold the platform to the transom? Has anyone else had this problem before? I see that the 340 dancer has a swim platform that is parts of the hull mold not a separate bolted on piece on the transom.

I am in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay....ie salt water.

HELP before I buy !!

Ok thanks. I haven’t been able to get it to play sound, even when I turn on that rear tv. Do you know how it turns on? Thank you!!

Tv breaker in panel on. Tv's set to correct source input (rear dvd, front dvd etc,)

Pictures?

That sounds like something possibly impacted that spot or there is a void. Really not common on this era Sea Ray.

Should work when you increase the volume. I'll double check how mine works and report back.
Been a while since i've used it.

Mine was the same 03 320... The surveyor told me its fairly common on the platform and its just paint flaking, that the fiberglass is still protected and not to worry. I just got the boat this year, and will probably get the spots painted before next season. Assuming you're seeing the same where its on the actual platform itself and not the hull of the boat. Either way ask the surveyor, get a quote from a fiberglass guy, maybe you can work that into the deal.

So...When I open the tv up in the back the speaker comes on automatically. Should work with whatever source is selected. I would check your connections. If not that then you may have an internal issue.

As I visit 320s attempting to find the right one for us to buy, I've noticed that on the power engine room hatch cover on the 320 V-Drive models, the entire aft section comes up revealing all of the engine compartment. On the 310’s I’ve seen, there is only a smaller power cover revealing only about ½ the engine room. Since I haven’t been able to find any local 320 with the I/O outdrives, I’m curious if this larger sized engine hatch cover is a standard part of the 320 or only on the V-Drives with the engine further amid ship?
Hi, I have a 2004 320 with I/O outdrives and can confirm I have the power hatch.

Thanks Craig. I will give it another shot. Honestly I wish that speaker worked for the main stereo and not the flip down tv which has never been used. Thanks again!

Hey all...I am in process of buying a 2004 320. All the stuff I want including the V-drive 6.2 power. Also I am coming off a 2006 290 DA that had a nice camper top. I know the 320 didn't come with it but I was lucky the boat I am hoping for has all that. Looking forward to reading all the new stuff I need to know as well as how the heck to steer a v-drive (It also has a bow thruster).
