Some one used to sell these years ago when I was on the Forum. They just installed with double sided tape.

That would be really nice instead of completely changing the fittings

Has anyone taken out the upholstery to make the v berth larger? I took them out today (see pic) and would love to here from those who have done the same, and see what you did to make the space look good again.

Also, any suggestions for a great memory foam topper?

I want to remove the old school TV and make that a cabinet anyone know where I can get the wood overlay to match the rest of the cabinets ?

Here is what I did. Picked out fabric, both for the upholstery and the bed, the used one piece of 4” foam + 2” memory foam top (glued with that spray fabric glue?), then covered with fabric. First pic is before, second pic after.

Sorry, I didn’t answer your question, you were asking to make it larger, I did not do that, just recovered. I should learn to read better!

Question: how do I turn on the light inside the main breaker panel in the cabin? I've tried every switch I could find. It sure would be nice to get that working as the panel is rather dark.

What oil is everyone running, some people say paying for the “merc” oil
Aka just the name is a waste some people say run straight 40
So it doesn’t burn off .... recommendations ?? My 245 I use tomrun straight 40.... I have the 6.2

I prefer Shell Rotella SAE 40 straight weight. $20 a gallon, easy to find locally and doesn't break down when hot.

This weekend I updated the old 13in analog zenith tv by the v-berth to a 22in insignia lcd tv.

The existing mount in the cabinet worked well, but I needed to move it a few inches forward to get the new tv to “lock” in the cabinet.

Thanks Craig. We only have two switches going down the steps. One for cabin lights, one for foot lights. Neither effect the light inside the panel. Any other thought?

Should come on with the courtesy lights. check the connections with a multimeter.

One more question from the newbie here, I really would like to have a flag pole on the stern of the vessel. Does anyone have a suggestion on placement?

Got this setup from West Marine. It works pretty well mounted on the lazarette railing. Not sure why all my photos are posting sideways today...

More Newbe questions here... With Black Friday fast approaching I am thinking of replacing my 2003 model GPS. I am not going to go with Radar but sometime down the road I may add one of the less expensive models of FLIR. We boat on the Kanawha river which has quite a bit of barge traffic and I know the folks on the river who have added FLIR swear by it for identifying what we call the silent killers on the river. Anyway looking for recommendations on a good quality GPS ( multifunction) unit.
