I would guess somewhere around $200 for the anchor. Did you loose chain as well?

Thanks for the info. I did loose the chain also, it came loose where the rope and chain connect. I will start inspecting the connections more often now. I only got one years use out of that anchor :smt013

Does anyone have the sunpad filler cushion in the cockpit? The on in front of the transom seat. Any opinions?

    MT,

Each person has their own boating requirements but in my case, no I did not.
My rationale was that I had custom bow cushions made and that provided the lay out area for the sun worshipers. As a matter of fact, that is where 5 guests sat comfortably to watch the July 4th fireworks. In turn, I did not crowd the cockpit and create one more storage issue. In my typical boating, I plan on 6-8 people on the boat at most times so storage and keeping the cockpit open was my reasoning.

In other circumstances the option may make a lot of sense. My 2 cents.

    Conch'd Out,

I would use this opportunity to pick up a nice chrome anchor off of E-Bay. The chrome will put you back a couple of Ben Franklin's but it will be worth it.

BTW - Sea Ray had an option on the front anchor of all chain for the rode. I don't know if anyone bought it, but it was only a few bucks more than the standard rope/anchor. Seemed like a bargain if you were spec'ing out a boat.

How deep was the water you lost it in? Any chance of going back and diving for it?

    Good Luck!:smt001

A change of topic - do any of you have an mp3 player port installed? And if so, where did you put it? We use our mp3 players almost exclusively and I like to be able just plug it in to the adapter and not fuss with those FM transmitters. I installed one on my previous boat. It will connect to the clarion head unit RCA's and be accessible by selecting AUX.

I could put extensions on it so I could theoretically mount it anywhere. Any suggestions? I doubt we will listen to it much in the cabin so a cockpit location is preferred. I'm thinking somewhere at the helm but then I'm wondering how it will be to run the wire back to the head unit. So, maybe port side by the seat?

    Bill,

I would mount it at the helm. You already have a stereo controller at the helm, so it should be easy to run a wire for an MP3/AUX input. I keep a cell phone on the left side of the helm, and it would be a great spot to keep an MP3. Afterall, the driver should always be in control of what is playing on the stereo.:smt001

I'm assuming you found the aux jack in the closet?..I have just used a long cord to my Ipod and leave it on that table near it. I am going to have it ran to the helm. When I had my system done, the installer said it might not be easy to make it, as he didn't see any wire chases easily. There must be one though...for the wired remote.

Aux jack in the closet?? Nope, hadn't seen that. Probably because the admiral already has it full of her stuff!!

yeah, I have to believe running the wire to the helm shouldn't be a too big deal but I have yet to start removing any panels etc.

First order of business has been to get the boat polished and waxed. Then to get a second TV and swap it with the stock TV and move that to the aft cabin.

Look inside your cabinet near the power panel/stereo system. It's above the "coffee" table. you will find your Ipod/Mp3 jack hidden in there.:smt038 Why they put it in there...Well...I have no clue. Just like I have no clue why they buried the cockpit speakers where they did...

Wow, not sure how I overlooked that jack if its there. I'll look into it but i've never seen it.

Ok, another question - the green "power" light on my panel doesn't illuminate when connected to shore power or on the genny. Power and everything is fine though. Loose connection? Faulty bulb or light? Thoughts?

I found my Ipod plug by accident...It's in there...look close..I think mine is in the lower cabinet...near the table height..

My light only is on while connected to shore power...Maybe you bulb is bad...If you have AC it should be green. I have a night light..(scared of the dark :smt089) plugged in anyways right near the stove..I use that to gauge if I have power or not.

Yep, I think my light is bad. I may pull the panel and check it.

Last question for the day - I have what appears to be either a flag pole mount or grill mount on my transom right behind the cockpit rear seat but on top of the ledge of the transom.

Is this something I can use for mounting a grill? Is there a special piece of hardware that fits in there and places the grill out over the swimplatform?
