Stupid question here, how do I turn on the water pump to start flushing my system....sinks etc? Im looking to launch Friday so I'm going to start flushing the lines and putting some water in the tank....my previous 230SD had a simple button on the helm.
    Thanks

There's a button at the helm. It's on the panel on the right of the steering wheel, the icon looks like a square with a squiggly line through it. Not very intuitive.

Go below in the engine room and facing aft on the port side you will find the water line. You will find the white strainer downstream of the pump. Learn how to take it apart and clean it now. You will find when flushing your water it will get fouled from time to time...

And... should be the same icon as used on the 230SD.

Lazy Daze, thank you.... I knew where the buttons were on the 230, could hit them with my eyes closed, I guess I took for granted what icon was on it. In the manual, the diagram shows what each one does, bilge pump, blower etc... but no mention of water pump, thats why I looked elsewhere. Either way, thanks again.....very much appreciated.

I just took ownership of a 2008 with twin 5.0 engines, closed cooling and Genset. I have two questions:
Can the cushion covers be removed and washed - i see they have zippers on the bittom sides?
How do you remove the bolsters in the cabin, i would like to recover them?

New boat (to me) and my "foldable sunbed" seem to be stuck! Is the long screw thing supposed to be screwed out all together for the sunbed to move or should I just loosen it somewhat?
I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong or if it's stuck and I just have to put some WD-40 on the track...

Only need to loosen the black handled screw to move the seat. More than likely stuck.

Just loosened a turn or two (you can feel when it's not longer 'biting') - does not have to be removed. The only trick is that you lift up in the middle to get it started. If that's not working, then the track is either stuck/corroded, something is jammed in the track or it's damaged. Did it go down smoothly? Try some penetrating lube.

Those of you who have had to replace your vent covers, how have you attached them and what's best to use? Any pictures would be appreciated. I have to get these colour matched the best I can for a 17 year old boat too.

Assume you mean the cloth not the vinyl: As a condition of buying our 280 we had the seller remove the covers and had them cleaned.

if you are referring to the ones over the v-berth, they are attached to boards behind the bolsters. these boards are they attached with wood screws found underneath the vinyl. you can see the ledge that the boards screw on to in the pix

they are glued on . there is quite a bit of support for and against putting a small screw to secure them. Mine are secured with a small screw on top and bottom. I tried everything I could to match the paint, and was unable to. I had a company that paints boats finally finish them !

I took everything including the tracks off to try to unstick mine, they would move to a certain point and then jam. I was never able to get mine to move freely!

It's stuck in the upward position so I haven't gotten it down yet.. I'll try lifting it a bit before pulling it, or is that only when you raise the sunbed?
Otherwise hopefully it'll unstick if I spray some lube on the tracks. Thanks for your help!

Thanks Paul, they matched it pretty good by the looks of it.

Lifting is only needed to 'help' it start to fold. When unfolding, it should slide aft. I usually just pull on the aft-facing bench. There's really no tricks to this, so if it's giving you fits... it's the seat's fault, not yours. :)

You could try... pulling harder... giving the forward facing seatback a good bump.
