Official 240 Sundancer Thread

The short leg is for a sun pad and that folding cushion (if it's not for the v-berth) goes on top of the table to make the sun pad. The flap should hook to snaps under the table.

#1,2 and 4...No answer
#3, On my 07, the A/C pan is plumed with a hose to the shower sump pump under the step to exit the berth. I did have an issue with my shower / AC sump pump and am considering replacing the pump itself as I think the float may be sticking on mine. If you do not have your AC pan plumed to a pump, I would suggest doing that.
#5, I anchor close to the shore at the beach and always use 2 anchors. one out front and the other off the back that I pull onto the shore. I keep my rear anchor attached to the rear cleat and keep the anchor part in a rear hatch that the shore power and water connections are housed. If you will be using the rear anchor, I suggest keeping it easily accessible.
#6, The microwave in my boat is a 550 watt I believe and it runs off of 2 4D batteries that I charge up before the weekend starts and they work just fine. Not sure about using the house batteries though. The switch panel inside the cabin allows me to turn off and on the equipment I want to use of the inverter connected to the 4D batteries.

Thanks, unfortunately I do not have a shower, just a head. Will need to do some more investigating. And see if there is a pan drain hose and where where it goes. Hopefully just some of the spray foam came loose and clogged it. Is that pump by the garbage can in the step? My high step is a garbage can

Ahh so you can combine the two rear seats in the middle.
I thought maybe on the bow but didn't find where the snaps would line up

Thanks for the help everyone
Fixed the tach and speedo last weekend Water pump for the fixtures seems to be working great and have good pressure everywhere. Big thing this weekend is fixing the ac condensating drain issue.

Buddy has a 2006 rinker 270 and was impressed with how well the dancer handles compared to his. Longest ride on the boat yet, 30 miles round trip

Hey all - first post here.

We just bought an older 2000 240DA, and am still getting the hang of it. One thing we found is that the refrigerator only works on shore-power. Had it looked at but the dealer didn't have any option available (short of replacement). Any thoughts on repair/part for the DC side of it? They did confirm that DC power is making it to the fridge.

It's a Dino DC-65 model.

Thanks!

My pump is under the step with the garbage can

I have no pump, there is a tee in line with the discharge water line. The side out of the tee has a 5/16" hose that runs to and lays in the pan. Assuming this is a Venturi system. Found the tube was clogged so cleaned it out. Anyone else have or seen that system?

Found out that it is the mermaid setup, called them and they said do not take apart but to soak in vinegar over night

Leakage!

I have a nasty leakage on my 240, but wondering where the water is entering? My best guess is windowframe / deck.. Anyone experienced the same?

Red circle is approx. where water leakage start to show inside

G'day all,
I have a 2003 240 sundancer and i was just wondering if anyone else has had trouble with the switch pad that controls all of the minor functions like bilge pump, lights etc. Since I'm located in Australia i'm finding it hard to track down a replacement. Anyone point me in the right direction, are these parts still available in america and if so where?
Cheers Chris

Neither can we. In fact we often experience a power fade then surge when engine is over 3,600 rpm. We've had the fuel tank cleaned, fresh fuel and new filters and new high pressure fuel pump, but still the same fade and surge. Runs for hours at 3,400 rpm beautifully. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi,
I ordered new side curtains from great lake (former owner had lost), and now i have a complete canvas.
But, previous owner had lost / destroyed canvas frame also, and i`m gonna make new ones from stainless steel.
Please, could someone take a measurement from front and rear, the strait part of frame (approx), from side support to the point where curve begin.
Those measurements are marked in the picture. I`ll really appreciate if someone will help me with the measurements.
Thx, Miikka

The front one is 40" from the bottom to where it begins to curve. The back one is 36". That's not including the bracket at the bottom of the frame.

Thank you soooo much!! That helps a lot.
Is that back one really shorter than the front one? In pic it looks like the front one is shorter..?
My Dancer is 1998 if its matter.
