Official 1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 290 Thread

Hey so while Hawk and I eat up bandwidth and load your email with crap, I was going to replace the starboard (that’s the right side looking from the helm (steering wheel) Hawk. Nav light bulb and the thing just disintegrated in my hand Found the Perko ones, anyone use them. They seem ok and the price is right. Just wish they came with LED’s
Thoughts?
Jon
Perko are the good ones. I replaced all mine with LEDs. You can buy led bulbs to put in them too.

Hey Crew, cleaning out the garage a bit and wanted to see if anyone wants any of this.
First picture (sorry it’s blurry) is a 2’ pigtail/adapter going from 110 standard outlet or extension cord to the twist lock cord. I have 2 identical ones
Second picture is a cord, looks like 100’ but it has the crazy ends on it.
Third is a Magma grill carry case, I’ve used it once. We don’t use it. It holds the grill/bottles/utensils with ease.

Let me know if you want any or all of it and where to send it. I’ll let you know what the shipping is.
Jon

Found these in an earlier post. Anyone know where I can find them? Mb homebuilt?
Anyone know any similar solution? I like the easy install, just 2 holes in the swimplatform.

Hey Crew, did a search but wasn’t very clear. Engines have been changed but no serial number information on the flame arrestors for either engine. Is there somewhere else to look? I’ve found the casting numbers on the blocks but nothing comes up for them.
Thanks!

My understanding is that that light is a navigation courtesy light and not requiered. I did change the bulb to blue and has been for 2 years. I do have the light ontop of the arch that is white. Let me know if i am correct. A bunch of boats in my marrina have done this same thing but dont want to get dinged by the coast guard for it
Hey folks, I was reading through old posts and saw this, we don’t have USCG on the lake but we do have the boys and girls in blue cruising their sections. Since our slip is on the outside we wave and provide water. The Queen even went so far as sub sandwiches for them. Cut to the post, they (police) say the blue light is unauthorized and it needs to be white, super electrician says the same thing FYI my .02

Hey Crew, cleaning the, I’ll call it the trunk where the shore power/water connection is and all but one of my straps are broken. Anyone found a good replacement for them? I’m heading to the boat later when it warms up a bit more and I’ll post a picture.

Hey Group, super electrician finished the dash replacement. We are embracing the blue cockpit theme and I really like how the dash came out. I think the Rocker Switch Pros covers came out great.

Next will be new carpet then work the upholstery. Those with a keen eye will notice the renamed “cockpit” light switch, also for those that know. What does the rocker switch next to the windlass toggle switch do?
