This is the supply side. It looks like one fitting might be part of the hose. The other fitting spins freely inside the pump housing. Looks like maybe it clips in somehow?
The marina replaced the pump. I wish I would’ve gotten to it first and saved about $500.00…the one time they beat me to something, LOL

A good marina will do both. I had my drives serviced last year. When i went to pick them up they had a plastic bag with both impellas and water pumps to show me and gave a explanation of exactly what was done to each for the price i am paying

We love the marina, and the location is perfect, but the service dept has been a huge disappointment. They did say it was the internal pressure switch that failed. Anytime I use them for service it’s a headache. Going forward, I’ll try to do everything I can without them.

The pump you pictured that was in your boat looked a bit odd to what was probably there originally. If they replace it with a surflo model note the pump head and some pressure switches are serviceable if it stops pumping again. Did they add the missing screen filter?

Hey Crew, sitting here with a cocktail reading, I bit the bullet today and ordered the new choke assembly for the GenSet, yikes. I’ll post results.

Next question. I am trying to get her cleaned up some. So with the new canvas I have leftover snaps all over the place and holes where the original hardware was install. (Missing when I bought the boat) Anyone use an epoxy to fill in that dries close to white? I know it won’t be perfect but right now she looks like a teenager with acne.

Thanks
Jon

I used marine tex to fix some swim platform scratches and mars. It works great and after you sand and buff it matches pretty good. You cant tell a repair was done. Its super easy to use

Thanks Jeff, heading to the boat here in an hour. Going to try and stiffen up the table. I’ll take pictures and see how I do.

What table you working on?
The one on the engine hatch, My hatch is soft under the table. Guy wants 1K to rebuild the hatch. I used a piece of 1/2” plywood to straddle the engine hatch and the starboard side access cover. It’s much stiffer but I did’t take into account the “ribs” in the table fitting so my hole saw wasn’t big enough. I took the base off the little table and screwed it down just to see if it’s stiffer and it is. It’s way too tall though, you feel like you’re at the kids table on T-Day. Plus it’s unsafe, the insert blocks anything coming from the ER where the upside down base has a hole in it so ER gasses can escape into the cockpit. Just need to get my jig saw and cut some slots so the holder will sit flush then seal it up. WAY better than it was though. That thing is so friggin heavy. Going to keep looking for a lighter plastic version.

Hey so new question crew. Does the vacuum generator periodically come on even if you don’t flush? While working on the table, I noticed my vacuum generator actually starting shutting off. Never did before. So I poured buckets of fresh water in it and it seems to be working much better. There’s water in the head bowl but every 10-15 minutes it cycles for about 10-15 “pumps” for lack of a better term. Is this normal or should it reach vacuum and hold until used.

Thanks!

Mine never re cycles. Make sure you dont have a piece of TP stuck not allowing it to close properly. I had to remind all the ladies of that one when my pump kept running

Copy that with the table. Mine is the same way. The hatch is soft and the table wobbles alittle. Havnt come up with a fix yet. I was contemplating a couple pieces of angle aluminium to stiffen it underneath. But weight is always a concern

It should hold until the next flush.

If the water is staying in the bowl try getting as close as you can to the foot pedal to see if you can hear any sucking air noises. There's a few o-rings in that location that occasionally need to be replaced.

When I first got the boat it never shut off. I know nothing fixes itself but maybe with some use and proper training it doesn’t have to be fixed efrigginmediatly. I’m sure it’s duckbill/bellows time. Nice to know the vacuum switch works. Little win

Thanks Ducky, yes water is staying is staying in the bowl when it cycles, I’ve watched the YouTubes on that. See if I can get my broken butt down in there.
