Anyone know the size of the water line that goes to the thru hull pick up for the AC? I need to tap it to connect to my raw water pump to diagnose if i have Bravoitis. Ill Tee in the raw water pump inlet and connect it right after the strainer directly.

id pull the hose and go straight on the barb instead of Teeing it if you’re just testing. Sorry I don’t know what the size is though.

nevermind I see what you’re saying. Is there a way to pull the Impeller pump inlet hose and block it (from the transom) then go direct to the barb on the thruhull with a temporary hose? That way you’re not cutting anything

Here’s a weird one - there’s a small plastic handle type piece that opens and closes the little door over the transom shower. Mine’s been popping off, and today it fell and sank! It just kind of pushes on, and slides back and forth to open and close the door over the shower sprayer. Has anyone ever replaced that piece, or come up with some other creative way to open and close that door?

I stick a knife in the slot lol. We don’t use it so I haven’t bothered but you can replace the whole assembly with a new one.

Haha! Thanks. I’d like to replace it if possible. We actually use it, to rinse the brown NY water off sometimes, lol. Do you happen to have a source?

Thanks very much! It’s amazing how helpful people (and especially you) are on these forums!

You’re welcome! This place has saved me a ton of money, the least I can do is give a little advice back

I just replaced my entire shower kit this year..was leaking in back. Easy install. Just remenber after install. Shut off hot and cold water. Release triger to get all pressure out of hose before sliding in hole. Will help put away hose when it is more flexable

Thanks Jeff! -Bob

Jeff - Do you know how long the original hose is? (I think the kit says 10ft) Mine only comes out about 3-4 feet, so I think maybe it's binding up inside...I think I'm also trying to justify buying the $150 kit because I lost the 10 cent plastic piece! haha!

Shark, if your shower is original, consider the 10 cent piece a shot across the bow. The valve seals in that shower assembly get brittle. If it fails when you are away and the water heater is on, bad things will happen.

Another good point, and great piece of advice. Thanks!

Shark, expensive way is a boat top shop. Less expensive way is to ask a family member who can sew. Should be simple to duplicate.
I bought a curtain on amazon, and dropped it off with my dry cleaner (who does alterations) with the old one, and asked him to switch the plastic clips over to the new curtain. He said it should be no problem, and I'll pick it up later this week.

The hose is 10 ft long. I did swap out my sprayer with this one. Has a finger control and so much better

Yes. The only thing i had to do is remove the little rubber circle that the sprayer head sits in and i screwed in a metal spring style pole clamp. Holds it tight.

Sounds like a nice setup, thanks for the idea. You don’t happen to have a pic or info for that clamp do you?
