Official 1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 290 Thread

Girly, i looked at that one too. But its made of metal and was concerned about it rusting and same about being safe in the ER. I mean its made for a boat so it should be good

Soo, this is what i went with. Its all plastic with a 3 gpm and 40 psi. Ill keep ya informed. The old pump was 2.3 gpm and 45 psi

So update on my pump. Installed the jabsco par max. Works great. It comes with quick connect fittings with the hose barb ends. had to buy quick connect fittings with the fittings that go over the plastic pipe and lock in. Gives plenty of pressure and very quiet

Wow I definitely need to give him a call. I checked him out online and he went to the same small college I did before I transferred to NC State back in 1992! LOL
Great guy, hopefully he won’t disappoint. He’s treated me great so far.

Hey crew, thought I would put this here before posting in the parts section. I have my three hatch screens if anyone needs them. They are in great shape and free to my crew here. Just let me know where to send them and I’ll let you know the shipping. I installed the “OceanAir” hatch covers and screens, they are great by the way with the exception they hit the seem on the overhead so they are not perfectly flush. Still work great.

Please post up some pictures. I was thinking of doing the same . I really liked that when I had my 2012 260 DA.

I will, not sure if I’m going down today but for sure tomorrow.
So here is what I installed. (Actually my daughters boy friend as my rib cage is still a mess.) Very straight forward, easy to operate and seem of good quality. Only bad thing I’ve heard is that you don’t want the shade or screen over with the hatch open underway as they can rip. So rule of thumb, hatches open…everything open while underway.

Hey Crew, not sure if I posted this earlier, was on the boat today and wanted to share my cockpit fixture. Plus I stressed the GenSet today after watching a blip from “Boating Tech Talk” on youtube. So warmed it up, turned on all the normal (for us) stuff. A/C, Outlets (need the ice maker ;)) Water Heater, battery charger. All good. Then engage the stove top, both burners and it didn’t like it. Turned off the A/C and all was good. So my reason for this part of the post is…is this normal as in the YouTube vid it says the generator is sized for 70-80% load. Sounds right to me, just thought I would check.
So I posted a bit ago on a new white cockpit faucet didn’t like it so put this in I like it much better.

I love it. Now a nice stainless steel sink would look good like some have installed.

Funny, I just looked at this again and my lounger vinyl looks grubby in the pictures but it is sic and span, caulking to be applied this weekend. Hmmm

Hey Group, siting on the deck watching a light rain and reading our site. Rib cage is healing according to doctor lady yesterday but now chest cavity filling with fluid. So I’m bored, anyway. I didn’t search this so I’m wearing my flame proof underwear. Since we have had the boat I have come in hot a few times and have the dreaded black streaks from the dock rub rails (same ones I slipped on and broke my butt) recommendations for getting them off with the the exception of putting the Queen in her kayak with a corded buffer?

Do you guys swap your outdrives every year? My port is counter rotating, starboard normal. Was wondering if you guys swapped them to maintain even wear on forward/ reverse gearing.
