Todd, Like tdschafer mentioned it seems like you have put a lot of thought into this particular boat. The fact that these problems have surfaced prior to your purchase is a blessing IMO. The fact that that the current owner is taking care if these issues is also a sign of good faith. If you like the boat, the price is right, it has good bones, and the major issues are addressed to a level of your comfort I would say go for it. You can do all of the due diligence in the world, buy a seemingly perfectly maintained boat, and it still doesn't mean that something unforseen wont happen the first time you use it.
