Off the wall here (tan/white boat with black canvas)

My house is white. The house next door is dark brown. The bird spots on my house are brown, and next door they are white. They ALL show up. I just can't figure out how the birds have different color excrement and they know which house to poop on
That ability originates in the part of their brain that enables them to spot and anoint newly washed cars.

I prefer neon purple over chartreuse.

Yikes....lol.

The canvas shop we would use did our 250DA 2 years ago. My mother and step-father actually have their pontoon there now getting a whole enclosure done. We have a wedding to help pay for next October so not sure if we will be getting ALL new canvas or just the cockpit cover. The biminis are in great shape and would probably last several more years but the cockpit cover has shrunk pretty bad and leaks like a sieve even after going through 2 bottles of 303 on it. The rest of the canvas needs replaced. All of the curtains are too short so must have shrunk pretty bad and the isenglass is yellowed. We could probably get away with just replacing the curtains and isenglass but wife wants all new so there ya go...lol. We rarely use the side curtains so if we have to wait another year on the top then thats fine but the cockpit cover is a must ASAP. The shop uses Sunbrella so we would have a bunch of shades to choose from. When they did our 250DA we had them replace all hardware too. They changed the configuration to have the isenglass above the windshield like the newer boats have instead of the top connecting directly to the windshield. Our hardware id fine so they will likely re-use it.
Our front isenglass piece is about 2" too short to reach the windshield. I tried adjusting it but the poles are riveted so unless I drill out the rivets then there is no adjusting. Can't figure out any other way to adjust it but like I said, the glass is yellowed anyway so it needs replaced.

Boatman I was in the same boat in 2006 when we were buying our 220 SD. The wife liked the pewter and black combo but I wasn't to into it. Like everyone has pointed out already, it didn't really matter what I liked. As it turned out she was right. The black and tan (pewter) is sharp together. I got tons of compliments on that boat everywhere we went. Here's a couple pictures of mine.

That does look sharp!

Black. When we were shopping for our current 340, we looked at several pewter hulls with black canvas. Very attractive in our opinion. Just another 2 cents.

So about 95% agree with your wife that it's a good color combo and 1% thinks that bird crap color white is good. Extra credit is given since he.(Bill) has a really nice boat, in reality it's probably 1/2 a percent.

So what’s the verdict? Do YOU like it? Does she? You’re the only two that really matter...

She likes it. I like it but not sure I like it better than the original. Have to see how it looks in the water
