Wow, it is 4am and I am on the boat right now in Falmouth harbor and do I wish I had got it out of the water sooner this season. It is blowing a sustained 30mph with gusts in the 70s. This is the worst that I have been through on a boat. Hopefully my bridge enclosure makes it. It is holding up ok right now. I have (3) 3/4” lines to the stern cleats, (4) 3/4” lines as springs to the mid cleats and (4) 3/4” lines on the bow. I am taking it right on the starboard side so lots of force on the lines. A large 70ft catamaran broke off the dock at the marina across from me and somehow they managed to get it tied back up. I hope everyone up here in the NE makes it through it ok.

This video doesn’t do it justice but check it out anyway.

We're all supposed to be hauled this week but it's one of the rainiest weeks we've had. I'm headed down this morning to add more lines. I'm hoping the camper top can make it

Yay! o_O

Yup, going to be a bad day for sure. I just need to on the other side of these 70mph gusts and I think I can make it though the rest of it.

At the dock now its abs crazy

Three boats next to me have come untied

One hit the power post and broke the water spigot water going everywhere

All the smaller boats are the ones breaking
Loose

Wow. Good luck today, fellas. Sounds like a bummer of a way to end the season!

This is why you don't use tiny lines

I see at least 4 where their lines just snapped and they are sideways slamming the dock

It is crazy how quickly the small lines fail.

I got through the night. The boat is in pretty good shape, just a mess with leaves all over it. I have some trees down at my house and some of my rental properties so now that the boat is good time to go deal with that. Some sail boats didn’t fail so well.

I just went down to the marina to check my small boat and it was fine, but this guy need to learn how to do maintenance.
Check your bilge pumps before a storm.

You guys took the brunt of it. We are still gusting down here but not too bad. Glad you made it through unscathed.

I was supposed to come out at 0800 today. That didn’t happen. Now he can’t get me in until 2nd week of November

Glad you made it through fine. We ran down to Cowesett this past weekend with an overnight stop in Newport.

Hoping all is well, I cant get there today to check on it but it looks like winds were only in the 20's there, my only concern is we stick out so far from the end of the dock, they only had 45' slips available.

When are you heading down? Not sure when we will get hauled, but I think its scheduled for the second week of Nov.

I was going to run down Friday but I won’t be able to make that happen now. I think it is going to still be pretty rough seas on Friday. I am hoping to run it down next week and come out of the water the week after.

I just heard on the news that Edgartown on the Vineyard saw 90mph gusts and they were 80 mile an hour gusts in Duxbury MA. I was in the middle of those two towns in Falmouth so I must have seen at least 80mph gusts last night. No wonder I was puckered up all night.
