I just saw a segment on Evening Magazine about Ocean Vodka[/I].
Made in Hawaii from Desalinated Ocean water and from Midwest grain distilled in Idaho.

As a hard spirit I like Vodka and now that it will be distributed to the West Coast I'll have to hunt it down and give it a try

Just spoke with a friend here in North. It is not slated for distribution this far east. We will have to settle for the Goose. Let us know wht you think of the Hawian nectar once you have tried it.
We have discovered a new rum this year here called " Ron Matusalem" woth a try if you agree with dark rums.

Ever tried Iceberg Vodka? The real cause of global warming, darn canadians :smt043 I had a taste of it this summer in Ontario and it was pretty good, but I'm not a vodka fan either. SB

Grey Goose is good but at 1/2 the price I challenge you to blind taste test it vs. Triple Distilled Schmirnoff.
If you have and don't like it, Belvedere is also a good one if you're not into supporting the French.

Well I happen to live here in Hawaii but have never seen it. I am just not a big Vodka fan. I will however hunt it down and send you some if you wish. Just let me know and we can work out the details.

Hey Royce
That sounds cool, but I think ATF may have an issue with that?

Another vodka I suggest you try is Tito's Vodka. It is made in Austin, Texas and although it hasn't been around for long it has been quickly winning awards and going up in price. I discovered it in Austin when I lived there and back then it was $20 for a handle.....now I don't even think you can buy a 5th for that much.

None the less its one of my favorite vodkas.

Graham

p.s. not sure why there is an "unhappy" face on the post!!

I'm a vodka drinker. Last summer a visitor came aboard and said "huh you've decorated your boatwith vodka bottles. I decorated mine with teddy bears..."

!!!!!!!

I've done a lot of blind taste tests, and sure enough, the triple distilled Smirnoff scored very well, and that's w/o considering its considerable price advantage.

The bummer was how good Stoli Elit is. I wish I could say that for $60, it's no better than Belvedere or Goose, but the stuff IS smooooth.

Sorry, still supporting the French, its made in Poland, but owned by Moet-Chandon

Here is my dog Tito with a bottle of Tito's vodka. He's always been good with the ladies...now with his own brand of Vodka he's unstoppable.

Yea Titos!!!
I met him at a food festival here. They were giving away free shots with shot glasses too.

believe it or not the Schmirnoff Triple distilled is good.

Their website says they sell it at BevMo. We have one down the street and will be buying some this weekend. The Admiral drinks Kettel One and cranberry juice. Ocean's drink recipes sound really refreshing. It might make good Boat Drinks.

All of this vodka talk is getting me thirsty.

I drink mostly kettle one. I throw all sorts of things in it. Pineapple, Jalapeños, olives of coarse, Ginger, watermelon, blackberries, garlic. Not all at once though.

I'm going to have to try the ocean vodka, just because.
