Does anybody use it on this site,We are doing a 2wk trip this summer,To the Finger Lakes and Lake Champlain,

Happy to help you out with Champlain Canal info... I did the trip from the Hudson in August. Fire away with any questions you may have. The cruising guide to the canals is great with specific info: http://www.nyscanals.gov/exvac/cguide/index.html and the Dozier's Cruising guide is great for Lake Champlain as well as lots of great cruising in the northeast: http://www.waterwayguide.com/index.php The Great Lakes edition has the Champlain info but the Northesast edition is great to have too.

Red Stripe, We do the nys canal all the time, But have never gone to Lake Champlain before. Is there anything we need to know,Good or Bad.And thanks for the links,:smt001

We did a three week trip from Lake Champlain to Oneida Lake this past September. The trip was a blast but completely different from the open waters of Lake Champlain. Come on up. You won't regret it.

The "Cruising Guide to the Hudson River, Lake Champlain & the St. Lawrence River: The Waterway from New York City to Montreal & Quebec City" is a worthwhile investment for some detailed local info.

I've been boating here since the mid '60s and will do my best to answer any questions you may have...

I just bought a Sundancer 300, it is being stored on Long Island and we are planning to "drive her home" the first-ish week of June, up the Hudson River, Champlain Canal, and then Lake Champlain. Should be a very exciting trip. When are you going?

Time Off ,Congrats on the new toy. We start our trip june 29th after our wedding ,:smt001
