nyc boat show

This is an annual guys trip with dinner in little Italy and some bar hopping. We are going to brave the elements and take the train into the city tomorrow. One year we went when it snowed and it was like we owned the place - no one around - it was great!

Went to the show today....meh. Smallest NY show that I can ever remember, all in one hall. Place was empty, I think sales people outnumbered visitors. The 510 Sundancer was the queen of the show. Nice boat, show price $1.2M. Sea Ray Owners Club was present, which was nice given they have periodically skipped NY. Have fun when you go, the snow is starting to buildup in mid-town.

Went to the NY Boat Show on Saturday, Jan 4th. Turn out wasn't too bad considering the weather conditions a few days before. Overall, I was not impressed with the Sea Ray lineup. The 260DA is much smaller and boxier. No comparison to the 2005 -2009 model. The port side windows are terrible. What were those designers thinking, or better yet smoking?

I was also there sat , there was a good turnout and a relatively small show. Only deal I found was MAUI JIM , more and more sport boats and jet ski's the 470 DA was really nice for entertaining . And I liked the Cruisers Cantius.

HS, I hit the Maui Jim booth too and updated my specs for the season! They were great in the snow yesterday LOL!

My wife's rough on sunglasses..Maui Jim has been great with two returns due to scratching the lenses. She loves them!

LOL I hear ya, I have a pair I sent back a few times for warranty to the location in Mass and they have taken care of them every time for 3 years now. I have the no folding springy arms and they dont like the cold or being put to the limit. So it was time to go with a new style anyway. The wife said I need to get with the times. The CSI Miami look wasn't renewed for quite while now :huh:
