Well, the docks are all collapsing in the area where we boat. Mine this weekend was tilting at a 30 degree angle. http://www.riverbills.com/archive_2006_nov30_snow_storm.html

This is my boat - the second from the right. In the pic below. A couple down from me the Cruisers the swim platform is under water. I am hoping the warm weather melts this ice and the docks will start floating again.

The lift control box is under water. I am just hoping no boats sink on the dock and bring the dock down.

Holy crap!! :smt009 That sucks, who will pay for all the damage to the boats? Their insurance??

From what I understand it is the boat owners insurance. I am hoping things will melt today the foam in the docks is getting saturated as it pulls the docks down. I am nervous waiting.

That is a sorry situation, time to move out of that area .Doesnt look like much of a storm, early as it may be. Whats up with the roofs, was it windy. was it wet snow? sorry to see the havoc, goodluck

It's solid ice. Therefore it is slow to melt and very heavy. I agree I need to move somewhere warm. Normally I have been on the docks when there is 6 to 8 inches on the roof and it doesn't really affect them.

That really stinks. Hope everything turns out all right. It really does not seem like that much snow/ice? Maybe it's a different building code down there? Anyway I hope the insurance takes care of any problems you may have. Kind regards, Brian

There was a strong wind that came in and blew the loose snow off. So it was just ice and it threw most of them off balance. They are collapsing there and Lake of The Ozarks as well. By the 100's.

I have been trying to trade on a 300 - hoping for some more incentives.

I really feel your pain and even after it melts it will be quite awhile before things get squared away. Hopefully your boat will be just fine.

A few years ago we had a 24 inch snowfall here in Charlotte. It caused the floating docks to sink below the water line and it also collapsed dock roofs onto boats just like in your area. Three Cruisers sunk in our Marina and quite a few boats were damaged as well. It took most of the year to get the docks all repaired.

Skolbe, that is terrible. I would come and haul your boat to safety if I could, but that's obviously not possible. Hope it works out OK for you. The storm did not do much when it passed here, but it made a mess of Seattle. I don't think it did damage like that though.

Just dont get hurt, thats the important thing. Insurance will fix things. If its not safe stay away.

There's nothing you can do. I am planning to drive down at lunch and see how it looks today. It was worse yesterday. If one person moves a boat it could throw the balance off dock lines from the cleats are what is holding the docks above water.

I was down there yesterday and ice was melting. It was originally about 3 inches of ice. The boat is okay. Two boats down from me the boat sits on a lift and he had pulled the hoses off that bring water in through the water pump. So when the swim platform went under the boat started siphoning water. They were trying to get the water out of the bilge and then trying to see if they should drop the lift. So, hopefully he saved his motors. But the docks so far look to be surviving.

OT a bit. A dealer called me yesterday on a nice 310 Sundancer with V Drives.
