I have :
Sundancer 44 sundancer with
2 QSC 500 Diesel
2 Northstar 6100i

I want to install a Northstar Twin Engine Smart Craft Gateway. I called Northstar to check the compatibility with my engines, but the guys cant find my engines in the data base.

I need to know if somebody has installed this.

Thank you

I don't have a definitive answer for you but I do have a Northstar Gateway hooked to my Northstar 5505.

Why not call Cummins/Mercruiser since you have hit a dead end with Northstar. If the Smartcraft ECM connectors are the same on Diesels as they are on the gasoline engines, and if the Smartcraft "data stream" is the same, then it's likely the Gateway would work. But for sure you need someone to tell you that as well.

If you are feeding smartcraft data to your gauges, I would suspect it would work. I have a gateway with my gas engines. If you have the same gauges as my 320, I suspect most or all of the data would come over.

I called Marine Max, and i still waiting for an answer.

Connectors are the same, the difference could be the software (Northstar said)

They have in their data base Cummins QSB (4 and 6 cylinder), but nothing on QSC.

I sent a email to Cummins

Thank you
