So, Navico told you they are no longer making the NS100s????

They just said none available and the only way to get one is finding one at the dealer. They did not say if they are planning on making any more in the future.

Take a look at the Cable connector that comes out the dash, the pins might be bent. If so you can usually straighten them out with a small flathead. 2 of us opened the handset and found the PTT microswitch pulling away from the PWB inside!

Today looked at all the pins and they are good. Tried removing some cables and reinstalling but no good. I will now let the dealer take a shot at it.

I'll give him a call tomorrow and confirm - I have a screenshot of WM's order, showing they placed the order with Navico - but, yeah I hope I do get it, but if not, I'll go to plan B!

I just inquired at West Marine and also at my local dealer and both told me no longer available so not sure even if my dealer finds the issue that he will be able to fix it. I wonder how the manufacturer is going to back their warranty in this case?

Today looked at all the pins and they are good. Tried removing some cables and reinstalling but no good. I will now let the dealer take a shot at it.

Update: My dealer fixed the issue. He found the antenna cable off in the arch area near the antenna (probably not tight from the factory like many of my other cable connections).

I have a NS100SS VHF com that works great but the handset cable has a busted strain relief at the mic. I need a new handset or a good cable which I could swap out (plugs into pc board in handset). Anyone know of a source for a good handset w/cable or??? Thanks

You have to buy a new radio. The only options which fit into the same/similar cutouts are around 700$. (Search blackbox VHF, I think?). I’m just going to replace with smaller VHF in a new hole in the dash.
