Northstar Explorer 550 Transducer

Hi. I have the factory Explorer 550 on my 2007 Sundeck 260. I get no depth readouts and suspect a bad through hull transducer. All other engine and mapping functions work great. Does anyone make a compatible replacement, and can I DIY while my boat is out of the water? It looks like it unscrews from inside the engine compartment, but is it really difficult to rout the wiring and find the connections? Sea Ray dealer wants $120 just to diagnose my problem. I assume you have the Northstar with the the Smartcraft Interface. If so, one of the few functions you cannot get on the Northstar is the depth reading. Not sure why this is but I had the same issue with mine. You can get about every other Smartcraft reading but not the depth or the sea water temperature. Do you get a depth reading on the instrument panel? If so then the transducer is working fine.
