I posted this on the 48DA thread, but came across this subforum and thought a larger audience may have interest in some pics of the North Channel & Georgian Bay area.

Here are a few pics from our new (to me) boat, did a 10 day trip from Lake St Clair to the Georgian Bay - North Channel area of Lake Huron (mostly Georgian Bay) mid-Aug. I hit a few of the spots my parents took me to 45 years ago on their 24ft Sundancer. I will say having 2x the boat makes most of it much better!

About 700 miles, a lot of fuel (actually can't give exact amount because pump guage froze and got a couple hundred liters free... ). Around 40 hours run time, so maybe 75% on plane, 2/3rds on the hook (or tied to a rock wall), the rest at a marina.

Next year, a longer trip!

Love it up there. I was happy to hear that beginning 10/1, Ontario is lifting the remaining restrictions for cross border travel. May head up next year again. Great pics, thanks for posting.

Looks amazing! We’re gonna hope to do this same trip next year from Lake St. Clair!

Love it up there! The Pool. Killarney (Herbert’s fish market). Thomas Cove. The Benjamin’s. Awesome cruising grounds!
