My fridge is not getting cold so I guess it is in need of some work. Can you have them recharged or do you just have to replace the whole fridge?

It turns on and runs fine but for a 19 year old fridge but I would rather recharge it than replace it if possible.

Had a similar dilemma last year. There is no way to recharge the unit without installing a fitting to accept new gas. I had a buddy in the HVAC business do so. We found the system fully charged. After much troubleshooting, we found that the circuit board was shot. They were back ordered with Norcold for monthes. I bailed out and purchased a new frig. Since that time, I've spoken to many and it seems the circuit boards are acommon problem....maybe that's why I couldn't get one last summer...

PS. Best price I could find on a new Norcold was Defender here in CT. Check www.defender.com

Get an Isotherm...much better. I just bought one from Defender.com
