Upgraded from a 340DA to a 380DA (2002) and get no reception on TV's just outside Nashville with Glomex 14" dish and gain unit. Wondering if Analog vs. Digital has anything to do with it? Comments/thoughts? Thanks!!!

Do you have your original analog TVs? If so, you may need to add a digital converter. They are really cheap - tap it into the Glomax output line - between the Glomax and the TVs. Then scan for channels.

Or, you may be too far from Nashville to get reception. Ask your dockmates if they are getting digital signals.

I'm sure TV's are original with built-in VCR's (just to show age). Appreciate the feedback and will follow the suggestion. Others on our dock have reception to local channels and then next step is to go to cable.

Thanks again!!

Right across "the street" from you at Cedar Creek Marina.....pass your place daily.

If original TV's you need converter boxes or new TV's.

Due to space constraints and VCR vs. DVD players, looking for new units that will fit in the built-in cabinetry that Sea Ray provides on this model....only about 15" x 15" so limited choice and looks like we'll be looking at "under counter units" and searching the best that is offered out there right now. My many thanks.....lots of new toys on a 2002 380DA that we did not have on our 1985 340DA and use by prior owner was very low so working the "kinks" out of her now but very satisfied and love to fuss-around making minor changes....nothing major so far.

Thanks much!!

reason might be older analog sets wwill not pick up digital hdtv signals.....all i have is a new 19 inch hdtv in place of the old built in tv,hook up cable antenna to it program it for antenna or "air" on the men and hit scan..it will find best digital signal at dock or at anchor....generator to power tv......you can use cable at dock if u want but u must change setting to cable instead of antenna.

You need converter boxes for TVs that old. They're cheap. I needed it for my 2005. You may also want to check that the antenna cable is connected to the glomax. The knuckleheads pulled the end off my cable when they took the glomax off during shrinkwrapping and then just put it back on in the spring without fixing their mistake. There is N-O slack in the line so it's a common problem. You end up needing to add about 2' of coax with a joiner and new connector, so that you can actually work with the antenna when taking it on or off.

Purchased a 15" under-the-counter unit and works great. For forward stateroom I used a 24" flat screen with built-in DVD with pivot arm. Thanks all!!
