Hi all, tried connecting to shore power to charge batteries. Never had problems before.
220v (Uk boat) shown on gauge on panel When ac switched on. Pressed switch for ac converter and heard a clunk like a breaker tripping. Now ac is dead. Marina power still good. Any ideas? I cannot find the breaker (if that is what it was).

There should be a main breaker right beside your shore power inlet. You could start there.

I think the next thing in line is the galvanic isolator on the ground circuit, then to my knowledge power goes straight to the main breaker in the panel. Not sure if a boat wired for 220 would have a transformer fitted or if the boat accessories simply run on 220V. My guess is the latter. The isolator is mounted to the backside of the shore power inlet panel and can be accessed by removing the transom shower assembly.

I think my next move would be to have a close look at your cord connections, then verify you have power at the boat end of your cord using a meter, then plug it in and do the same at the panel. Obviously be cautious working around live power or hire it out if you are unsure what you are doing.

Well, looking for something that wasn’t there. Removed the panel and found I had no power at the breaker....... so had to be the plug on the shore cable. Opened it up and there was the problem.
So 2 hours and even longer including research for a 10 min fix
