The 7 pizzerias in NYC that still use coal/wood can absolutely continue to do so.

But they have to install pollution control devices that filter the particulates so it doesn’t cause lung disease and premature death in the neighborhoods. If the Canadian fires have taught us anything it’s that lots of wood smoke sucks. Coal isn’t much better.

The roughly 10,000 other pizza joints can carry on as usual.

If the Canadian wild fires have taught us anything, it should be that shutting down 7 pizza shops won’t do a damn thing to help air quality as a whole.

Pretty sure it matters the people who live there.

And it’s all cumulative.

So what you’re saying is that every mole of CO2 ever emitted into the atmosphere is still there? And that every additional mole of CO2 will be additive to those moles that are already in the atmosphere? Do I understand your position correctly?

No. Don’t put words in my mouth. This isn’t about CO2.

It is about particulate generated by burning - otherwise called "smoke".
And it isn't accumulative - particulate settles out. If it were that big of a problem they should look to shut down JFK; the amount of particulate from jet engines is unbelievable. Probably the largest particulate generator in the NE.
Next thing we will not be able to have sand boxes for the kids because of the sand particulate and health effects.
Doesn't NY still allow cigarettes to be sold?
It's all a lunatic fringe phase that the media seems to think important. If the good people of NY vote in the people that believe these important health / environmental issues then so be it.
Where is Snake Plissken when we need him....

Not a problem.......you must believe the "science"........Political Science. If you do......none of these things should concern you because experienced politicians will be thinking for you and telling you what you can and cannot do.

Next up......Biden is looking at reducing the Sun's impact on Earth. So is burning 12 million acres in Canada an experiment? Why not just jump to Nuclear Winter?

So what is the cumulative to which you refer?

Just my thoughts......the cumulative effect of not teaching critical thought and comprehension skills has put us in a place where political science not real science rules the world stage. Argue against political science and you will be shunned and vilified on social media by pink haired, gender disordered individuals who live in their parents basement at 35 years old.

I keep hoping an adult will show up and kick these clowns off the stage but people are afraid of being cancelled by these idiots which is exactly what the clowns want.

I keep thinking we will hit peak stupid and then the next string of incredibly stupid things such as gas stoves, hvac systems, EV subsidies, wood burning pizza ovens, 26 year gay man who identifies as 13 year old girl, men playing women's sports, a female Supreme Court justice who can't define what makes a woman......and the list goes on. Meanwhile the Biden folks can't get enough of it and want more insanity.

Just keep in mind that the 12 million acres burning in Canada puts out more carbon in one day what the entire US does in a month. Ironically that is the same story with India and China without having fires. Any mention of that in national news?

Hopefully people wake up and kick these clowns off the stage.

7 pizzerias contribute to air pollution and global warming? That city is a cesspool.
