can someone give me a few possibilities why all my dash lights are out? I have 2 gauges for everything (2 motors). my nav lights work . I have a knob to brighten or darken the dash lights. it has to be one wire somewhere under the dash, but which one? thanks, rune

Typically, the purple wire coming off the ign switch powers all the gauge lights, the dimmer has to be in between

With nav lights on Get a voltage meter and check both side of dimmer to an good ground. If you have voltage on only one side with dimmer turned all the way up then the dimmers bad if you have voltage on both sides of dimmer to the gauge lights then you'll need to check the grounds (-) to the lights. Now with that said when you check for voltage at the dimmer and if it is dead to ground there could be a fuse between the nav switch and the gauge lights.Check all the gauge bulbs to see if one burned out and took out a fuse.
