Went on a little boat trip Sunday AM. Waves were only 1-3' so we went north about 45 minutes and had lunch and hung around near Grand Haven. Great fun until we decided to head back. Heading south I knew it would be a bit better, what I did not realize was the 1-3 turned into 5-6' and at times the swells seemed much worse. 1st time I have had my 270 in waves above 4' and I can say it wasn't any fun.
We passed a 32 sailboat about 1/2 way and they wernt having any fun either. Burned enough fuel to go there and back twice and learned a good lesson. 4' and above is just no fun
